I don't want to bust the party, but pinterest has officially confirmed that group boards are dead and pins won't really be showed in the smart feed, except to mutual followers (probably).

So, might as well stop exchanging boards. But then again I told you 1 year ago already ;-)

Could you elaborate this a bit for me, I'm not quite sure I get it.
I'm pinning in group boards and some pins tend to go viral, they get repinned and eventually (I think) reach the smart feed.
Or, even if what you're saying is correct (again, I'm not sure I understood correctly, sorry if I'm taking it to a wrong direction), group boards provide enough traffic even if they don't appear in the smart feed. Some boards have a lot of followers and the pins get shown to them, and that I'm sure of.

Pinterest has, for the first time ever more or less, been very open these past weeks. They did a lot of webinars with influencer agencies and i think there is a free to watch one with tailwind.
More to the point, I asked them directly, if we should continue to bother with group boards and they basically said no.

that doesn't mean you won't see engagement from pins to group boards. But the engagement might not be worth your efforts ;-)

and another one - which is a copy of almost all these open groups boards... I may invite.
