I was searching online for some interesting things to read, and from nowhere I encountered this articles talking about a new ICO which will be created by a very famous company called "Telegram", it sounds a bit dodgy since there isnt any confirmation from the company itself, I have read an article written by a famous company (which I wont reveal any names nor links since I do not endorse this) but you will be able to find more info online if you search for it.

they are currently saying through this online blogs that they have raised a massive $850M, from the $2 billion they are trying to raise, this is crazy, unfortunately apart from this info there isn't any other info on how to join this sale, nor there is any info on their own Telegram Site.

Hmm just read a bit about it. A lot of the hype is no doubt due to filecoin confirmed. Decentralized storage. And of course they plan for it to have other utilities, including micropayments. Decntralized VPN also sounds cool but we will have to wait and see how it all develops. Good find.

to be honest, if they hit the market, they could even reach the potential of ETH in few weeks, telegram is so powerful right now, has been so well adapted by the crypto community atm, I would be very exited if they really hit the market with this ICO, but it seems a bit crazy the fact that they are looking to raise $2bl thats all, appart from that, all I can say is that anyone who will invest on the pre-sale (blindfolded) will have a win-win rate either in short or long term.

Facebook, Google, Netflix, Amazon, Tencent make sense since they can reach everyone in the world based on existing mobile coverage.

Although i will preface by saying that they would invest more into blockchain than actual promoting their currency.

read the whitepaper, talks a lot about the history of crypto and how its going to solve every problem in crypto. Spoiler- it actually doesnt give any solutions whatsoever. Trying to raise 2 BIL is a joke. Imagine any startup trying to raise that much.

I haven't read the whitepaper but that article seemed to make a lot of sense to me.
I like Telegram as a product but this looks like it will backfire badly.
I think 90% of these ICO's that I have looked at are causing damage to Crypto's
