@DanielOnYouTube Maybe MailerLite could be the answer for MC. I use them at the moment and am happy with them.

Don’t be put of by the “approve your domain” thingy. My site is decent enough with the usual legal, tos and privacy policy and got approved within 10 minutes. In my GA I noticed that ML manually visited my site and had a look at a couple of pages.

And regarding my roadblocks; they are similar to @sonyhp when reading. The positive thing about reading them is that I get at least a bit of comfort knowing I am not the only one.

Working online all alone does isolate you from the outside world and makes you a bit autistic if you are not carefull. At least that is my experience. I am not the one who automaticaly assumes that this is applicable to anyone else that works all alone. Don’t get me wrong here.

My skillset is mainly WordPress related. Tweaking the hell out of it and the theme and plugins. Things like adding a branded avatar that gets shown if people that leave a comment don’t have one. Fixing php, css and html issues, things like that.

On the other hand I have to be carefull that I don’t go full OCD. I.e. a layout issue in WooCommerce drives me nuts and I could spend an hour on getting things pixel perfect. Recently I got bored, took a break and calculated that I spend almost a week on tweaking the WC css for my own site. Time and energy that I could have spend on creating a pull request and submitting it.

The WordPress coding standards are also something I seem to upses about. If I see that a plugin uses json_encode my neckhairs start to raise and I have to fork the pluging in order to use wp_json_encode. You can imagine that things like this do not benefit the “time to market” for my still not ranking website.

Then there is alsways the dreaded content. I know I am a halve decent writer but English is not my native tongue and I am afraid that weird spelling issues might undermine my value proposition. So I look for others to take care of this, which in turn leads to other problems I won’t bore you with at this moment.

Probably I could benefit from an accountability partner. Someone who I have to explain to why the f*%k I did not met the deadline I had set for a particular task.

i am operating and growing a printed clothing website, id say my biggest road blocks right now are:

1. Finding new designs to create
2. Sourcing quality backlinks (I don't intend to use seo services from here or anywhere, what I have so far are from my own outreach)
3. finding my USP

Maybe you tried this allready, but perhaps you could have look at behance and see what artists are there that produce artwork that you could license from them to print new t-shirts.

All this with the disclaimer that I have absolutely no idea how licensing works and if it even makes financial sense.

Traffic and newsletter subscribers.

I'm pretty decent at social media and the one thing holding my back from monetization is finding a way to get subscribers. I've tried some paid advertising to me site, without any conversions. Maybe I need to improve my copy, but for now, that's my roadblock.

Underlined part of that quote is especially true. Most profitable ideas never get implemented fully, not because they're bad ideas, but because there are infinite possible lucrative business ventures. A lot of your ideas will inevitably get discarded or forgotten about, and that's fine (as long as some of them get implemented, of course).

Also, may I suggest starting an overall journey thread here on BHW? The accountability aspect is great with public facing ridicule, and you can likely get some solid suggestions for pivots in profitable directions.

The opposite is also true. You can post "My Journey to $10 Mil" and then feel like your dick is huge for posting your intentions to make $10 Mil, even through you didn't actually do it. Personally, I'd suggest doing it the other way around. Go make $$$ then come back and start a thread explaining your methods.

I have to spend money on outsourcing sometimes, but being a perfectionist I typically can't find someone who lives up to my standards. Thus continues the cycle.

You're inevitably going to end up hiring people who are less skilled, less expierienced, and/or less dedicated than you are. That's why you are hiring them. Your time is more valuable than theirs.

The reality is that you do need to hire laborers to scale businesses; it's on you to figure out how to set up systems that can get good results out of workers who might be less experienced/skilled/dedicated than you are. There's a saying from somewhere -- design your systems so that an idiot can run them, because eventually one will.

I've made millions (yes Millions USD) with online partners.

Stress, and things just being unpredictable. It's pretty much about that i'm finishing high-school, and i need money for tuition, otherwise i won't be in position to afford a the first year in uni, and moving into another city.

My current roadblocks are finding the perfect team and getting things done on time.
Finding people who are experts at what they do and who are also honest and trustworthy.


Second ..I have a hard time getting things done on time and that can mean loosing out on revenue.
Sometimes I have to wait for other people before I can go to the next step in the process.
I try to streamline things so things can go smoother but sometimes things are always behind.

Those are my major roadblocks.

I'm aware of that, that is the reason why i want to avoid it altogether by having a passive income till then.
In uni there are no even classes for things that is being taught here through methods, seo, etc. It's total left and right worthless BS, except that you can get a job after getting a diploma - where they would teach you all the stuff from here in the end through internship anyway. This is only way to avoid it: going through uni, waiting 4 years, eat crappy food & pay bills, pay tuition and stuff, then maybe land a job in 5 years from now. I feel like i could do well enough now.

HenryHavoc, what I just read is indicative of a lack of strategy. You have a goal/vision, but no defined strategy to accomplish that goal/vision. Design a strategy and then implement it, go no holds barred!

Need friends and partners, can't go in a long way without it. Everything stucked when i do things alone.

feezioxiii,, ALL you need is what ALL successful entrepreneurs have < a Brainstorm Team! That is your missing element.

You need to take the initiative and form YOUR Brainstorm Team.

This entails YOU becoming a leader. Prior to formulating and bringing anyone aboard, you need to establish a vision, set the culture and define the type of people who will make up your Brainstorm Team; then go for it.

I have a IM Brainstorn Team, a Real Estate investment Brainstorm Team and eventually will be putting together an Entertainment Brainstorm Team. Brainstorm Teams make all the difference in the world, in terms of exponentially and synergistically driving your success.

This is an example of how all my Brainstorm Sessions work:

We come together with DEFINED AGENDAs/Objectives/goals and we brainstorm until we figure out how to bring those agendas/objectives/goals into manifestation. AND then! We deploy. For us, failure IS NOT an option, not ever!

For me these three are the main things:
1. Short span attention. It means that I could be very focus but it only last a short amount time. I'm easily get distracted by people around me or by the Internet.

2. I hate study what I feel it's not beneficial for me. I'm in university now as an electrical engineering so I have lot of things to learn. The problem is I don't like most of them, so I procrastinate on studying which wastes a lot of time that I can spend on other projects. And I can't drop out of uni since I have some sort of bond with the government and of I drop out now, I will break the contract and have to pay a big sum of money which I can't afford.

3. Poor time management skill. Some days I just feel like I'm not upto anything and simply waste it. I cannot force myself to work 10 hours per day and spend my time efficiently.

Personally, my biggest roadblock is the fact that I cannot get a credit card as a self-employed individual in Canada. This single issue is stopping me from being able to do email marketing with any platform other than Mailpchimp. The issue with Mailchimp is EVERYTHING gets falsely flagged as spam by their "Omnivore" system.

Then can't you get a debit card?

I am facing same problem nowadays. I also lost motivation to work as hard as i used to do 2-3 years before. Rather i just wasting my time in browsing, watching movies etc.

i am so frustrated with myself. Every night i think that i will start working in morning. But again all day passes. This frustration is making me angry.

Don't know why i lose interest in working. i have no other source of income. I have many incomplete websites that are just lying around.

Good ideas are scarce. For both niche site ideas & opportunities.

Knowing how much to spend on that idea determines how much $ you can make.

How do you figure out how much $ is justified for the project's success?

Do i keep it at a minimum and add more as on the way up for link building and only see results in 2-3 months?

Enjoy the relationship. If you are making decent money, it is fine. If it is affecting the business a lot, you need to communicate this to your partner and solve the issue mutually.
