I'm not a lawyer, but it seems unlikely the youtube shillers would get anything other than a stern lecture by the judge.
Guys like that asshat Jim Cramer on the CNBC channel shill crap all the time and it doesn't always go well for the stocks he says to buy/sell.
Still though, they will have to pay expensive lawyers to handle things for them.

I think the suggestion is that the big promoters like the ones you mentioned were in on it from the beginning and might allegedly have known it was a big scam from day 1.
Or that's what the people who listened to them feel - but people who lose money do like to find someone else to blame, so that might not be true.

Reading the reddit comments, I think it must be a combination of both. Some believe Trevon and those guys were somehow part of the project. But most (all?) don't want to the accept responsibility for their own failures and admit they were taking financial advice from a bunch of random people on the internets.
I'm glad I didn't follow Trevon James with this.

All the Youtube guys for bitConnect deleted all their videos.
During the 'discovery' phase of the project, no doubt a warrant will be issued for Google to cough up the backups.
If the videos become public domain through the trial process, some angry investor will probably get copies and put them all right back onto YouTube. Lol.
