Copyright videos getting 500k views?!

how are they able to do this? I have seen many channels like this and wonder how they don’t get strikes for it.

Here’s an example:

I’m guessing that the RPM on these sort of videos isn’t the greatest but if you are getting millions of views a month it wouldn’t matter.

Edit: I haven’t seen and speeding or slowing down of the video. They could be messing with the aspect ratio or something. They could be using an invisible watermark over the whole video but that wouldn’t stop someone from reporting it.

Entertainment One owns peppa pig and has a channel in which you pay for episodes. I’m not sure why this channel is verified or why it is able to play full episodes for free. But this is also one example and I see tons of stuff like this all the time. I see channels that play full episodes of radio broadcasts like “coast to coast AM” which has a paid subscription podcast so I know they wouldn’t want a YouTube channel putting their content on a channel. I see full episodes of spoungebob videos both live streaming as well as videos dating back years.

Said that, its true that some channels are making money with copyrighted material, and i am not sure how they did it.

Im sure with so many videos its hard to catch them all. im guessing though that people would report it. im also guessing people know how to find out if someone would even copyright something. some events and such are hard to actually know who holds the rights to the content.
