I've been using Nicehash to mine for some BTC, as from many places online (but not BHW), they recommend to use Nicehash. Overall, I obtain around $5 USD a day. I know about the controversies with the stolen 60 million dollars of BTC from Nicehash, but I want to know BHW's opinion. Is this service good for mining BTC?

Isn't that what nicehash does. Is nicehash nore efficient?

No.

Nicehash match buyers & sellers. So say I want to buy 1000mhs of ETH power for one day, I can do that with Nicehash. They then make one (or more) of their miners mine ETH. The ETH you mine goes to the buyer, and their BTC goes to you.

Nicehash takes a cut on both sides.

When they went down, I noticed a 10-20% increase in earnings mining directly.

Oh, so what can I do instead? I understand the "just mine other cryptocurrencies and then sell them for bitcoin" but how do I know what to mine?

Nvidia GTX 1080
cpu is like a useless i7 gen 2

I am mining XVG currently with my 1080s, but ZEC and Zencash are also good alternatives.

Install CC Miner.

Edit start.bat:

ccminer-x64-75.exe -a x17 -o stratum+tcp://yiimp.eu:3737 -u 1234yourxvgaddress56789 -p c=XVG

I see... thanks for the responses.

You can looking for developer trick, edit config to get best performance from you GPU.
GPU mining is better from CPU mining
