Go with Avast FREE edition, and avoid cracked softwares and nulled stuff. Your PC will be fine then. Using for more than 10 years.

bitdefender is indeed a solid antivirus, I am using kaspersky though, have been for years, it does its job great and you'll hardly notice it's there.

Bitdefender is quite lightweight. For some reason I couldn't run Kaspersky. I tried Avast too which was okay, with no issues or slowness, but I felt like Bitdefender had better protection (at that time when people had problems with randsomware).
