Ask Me Anything About Pinterest (Pinterest AMA)

hello i am new to this, what is best way to get followers for a women clothing store?

That's probably the easiest niche to get traffic for. You could simply search for relevant products or styles and repin them to your own boards. if its something that has been repined thousands of times then it will likely be well received on your account. As long as the places you are repining the pins to are relevant and have some followers then they should do well. People will follow you if you share good content. if you are just blasting out pins about your products then you wont see hardly any traffic.

Hi, i recently started a blog and i joined and created few Pinterest groups. I'm wondering if i upload 10-30 pics per day (Uploaded from my PC) with link to my blog in the description of the pin where i can edit the URL, can i get in trouble doing this for all the pins or i should split? The pictures wont be on my site but i will edit the description as source. I'm asking this cuz i don't want my acc getting banned. Also if you can answer this: is it OK to put < mysiteurl.com > on the actual photo like those quotes pics with urls in the bottom. And if anyone can gimme tip about how this can reflect to G00gle ranks and will i get penalized for to much links or something.......Any info is appreciated, thanks! :)

When you say pinterest groups you are referring to pinterest group boards right? or are you referring to groups about pinterest on a site like Facebook? You can put your link in the description of a pin you make if that's what you are asking. I would not advise it though. Just pin from the destination you want the traffic to go to and all the work will be done for you and pinterest wont be bothered or attracted to the fact you are posting links in the pins. Not sure what you mean by split? If you mean you are going to be changing the destination link that always causes problems and anyone clicking on the pin will be notified that the link has changed from the original one so people will be on guard from the beginning. pus once again i'm sure this sets off alarm's with pinterest and you could get your account suspended or banned. I don't know though. I would advise running some tests with accounts you don't mind losing. Yeah you can put text on a picture but the chances of someone repining it are far less likely. It may lead some people to the site that would otherwise maybe not have seen it but it may also put some people off too. I'm not sure how it would effect your google rankings. Personally I cant see it doing anything bad.

Thank you for all the information you have provided!
I just have a couple of questions regarding pins and pinning
1. Which is more beneficial? To repost a viral pin as your own onto group boards or repin it onto group boards?
2. When creating a board of your own, do you mix the content? 50% of your own and 50% repins?
3. How much should I expect to pay for a sponsored pin? For someone who has 50-100k followers?

Thank you in advance and I look forward to hearing from you soon :)

1) when you say as your own do you mean by lifting the picture and re-posting it with your own details, links etc. If so then other than issues you may have from the content creator and any TOS you may be breaching you could do it. You may as well just repin it though. If you share good content people will eventually follow you. I would say that given the headaches you could face just repining them will do the trick.
2) I do 80/20 when I first open them. I want them full of content I have seen is viral, although these days it is harder to see how many repins and saves something has had but it is still possible using some third party sites. Once they are established if my own content is well received then I might up it to 50/50
3) Unless that person is a real bonafide celebrity or has some serious fans who interact with every post he/she makes then don't bother. Pinterest influencer marketing is not the best type. It only works well for a handful of products. Everyone I have seen has grossly overcharged for Pinterest posts and people in that range charge thousands of dollars per pin. It's just not worth it. The only person who will make money off that deal is the influencer. If you want to get into influencer marketing I would strongly recommend spending your budget with YouTube influencers, you will get a lot more bang for your buck and many will do it for the product or service they are reviewing saving you thousands.

How to avoid get account ghosted (invisible in the follower's home feed). The situation: aged account (~1 month) with few boards and up to 10 pins at all. The account was ''sleep'' without any activity, during this month. Then the account was invited to ~70 group boards and started pin (not repin) directly from the money site to these groups. After ~ 100 pins the account was ghosted. The money site is not blocked. Any suggestions?

How do you know that your account is ghosted? The new smart feed don't show instantly the pins of people you follow immediately after they pinned something

lol if anyone knew how to do that i highly doubt they would post it here. It would not be an effective method on Pinterest part if people could just circumvent it. I believe the reason is the vast amount of boards you were invited to in one go, I think he new changes to the terms means they have also put in many new features that flag accounts to them for further investigation. It could be because there was a lot of activity all of a sudden with no prior activity. Who knows. It's food for thought though.

I'm sure it would be dificult to see and find out, again it would not be very effective if it was obvious so I'm curios too as to how you know

Do you have any bot or software which helps to Auto pin / r and auto like?

I have scheduling tools that i use to great effect but as yet have not tried any bots, i see a lot of people talking about pinbot and other bots like it but i have not used any of them yet myself. I only set up pins to go out and dont really follow anyone on there.

Make a pin from a site.com, then check pinterest.com/source/site.com and if the pin missed, the account is ghosted for sure.

How long do you give it before checking? Do you go back and check again after a certain amount of time? Should it appear there instantly? Do you think it matters if you pin using a pin button from another site or if you are within Pinterest doing it?

Can you recommend any third party sites to check repins and saves? I find the Tailwind and Pinterest analytics data a little conflicting so I am not sure of the best way to confirm the popularity of a pin.

Before accepting invites warm up the account, from my experiance it doesen't matter if the account is old or new, if you accept only one invite your account can be banned. Get yourself 1 main account and 10 sidekicks.
After you warmed up the accounts start to pin with you main account all the pins from your website .. up to 3-5 pins/day, wait 2-4 days to ave some pins pinned then start to repin in shared board with the sidekick accounts but do it randomly. I know it's a lot of work, you will have to extract every day the pin links for repining.
When you warm up the sidekick accounts, pin other stuff in the shared boards too even when you're pining your images.
Another tip would be to follow your main account with the sidekick accounts, but i'm not sure if it will help or not but my logic says that if you pin ofter from someone you sould follow him because the coincidence to pin everiday from him is very small so you'll rise a flag

Hey , i'm a new in pinterest it's been only month of working on it i have a couple of questions about it
1-about the extension chrome pinontop its broker or stop working how i cant know the hot pin now ?
2-there is a way to grow up a broad (best strategy) ?
3- the same question about followers (best strategy to get much ) ?

I personally just go off of Tailwind as I am only interested in stats on the pins I have shared. There are a few sites out there that you can get stats on other pins too. I will try and round a few up and post them here when I have them.

Yeah I agree if the account is brand new with no info filled out and you have not used it like a normal person would then dont bother. I see way too many people just making blank accounts not adding any boards or info and going straight into spamming. There is no point and you are only doing work for nothing when you could be doing way more efficiently which will be way more profitable in the end. As to how much you should do when warming up the accounts is up for debate. but use them first for sure.

1) Never heard of that site but as I mentioned above in my reply to Kitech I will look for a few good sites to get quality info from and share them here when I can.
2) Yeah covered it in depth in this thread and this Pinterest method thread here: https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/m...up-cash-20-100-a-day-pinterest-method.939656/ read through them if you are interested in learning more about Pinterest.
3) Same as above.
4) Not that I use, you are better off sharing lots of quality content than spending time on site and groups like that. There may be a few good ones out there but by the time you have done all of that you could have shared lots of pins getting you lots of exposure.

Hi, noob here.

Tips on how to start a good Pinterest? Should i just focus on repinning and making good boards for ppl to follow?

I've made like 10 boards in my niche but can't seem to get any followers.

How do ppl get thousands of followers?

It seem like some ppl don't have any niche but boards about anything, is that the way to go?

how can i join more boards? where to search them :)

follow unfollow still works?

It's very hard to get followers on Pinterest as there really isn't much of a need for people to follow anyone on there.. I would focus on pinning rather than following. Lots of people with a huge following have spent time growing their accounts and following others for a long time so after time you will see some followers from following activities but its not a great ratio.

Follow unfollow still works but the numbers are not great. I have covered the best ways to get group boards dozens of times within this thread and this thread here : https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/m...up-cash-20-100-a-day-pinterest-method.939656/

Hey mate,
I'm new on Pinterest, and I have a newbie question:
Are using a bot necessery on Pinterest?

I think they are if you want to be serious about it. Doing things manually will never make you decent returns unless you have access to very very cheap labor. I would start by using something like tailwind and then move on to more complicated things.

I have over 300 followers on Pinterest with over 15.5k impressions per month but I receive very low traffic to my site

Then I assume it has something to do with what you are promoting. if you are not seeing clicks then the way you may be presenting it might need adjustment.

I would make a few of your own boards first and pin a few things, act like a normal person and then you can join boards and set up automation.
I use tailwind at the moment as i just pin and dont really bother following/unfollowing.

I have to say this from looking at a lot of the questions here and other threads about Pinterest

PINTEREST WILL ONLY WORK FOR CERTAIN THINGS!!!!!

It seems like lots of people think they can post spam and CPA offers and all that sort of other crap.... You can but it wont do very well on Pinterest. That sort of method and approach may work on other sites but not Pinterest.

If you have some relevant ecomm products pinterest is a fucking gold mine, better than that its an unobtainable mine! if you have products that resonate with the demographic like makeup, fashion, food, home decor than you will do well. if you are trying to promote your shitty adsense site dont bother. If you are just trying to drive traffic for CPA or anything like that dont bother. yeah it works and you can make money but i like to work smarter not harder.

It's all about finding the right products to promote, when you know the demographic you are targeting it makes it a lot easier to choose what you promote there. Pinterest is good for product advertising and little else.

Even though this is an ask me anything thread that does not mean that its an answer anything thread so if I get any more questions from anyone about proxies, or how to get traffic for adsense or CPA crap I'm just going to politely send you someplace else because I have already answered them many times and it seems people are not taking the time to read the answers that have already been posted. And because not only are you wasting my time but your time too trying to do actions that dont work well on Pinterest.

Im looking to promote my t-shirts. Is Pinterest a good place for that?

What approach would you use?

Btw your help is much appreciated
