Hello my fellow BHWers,

I have just noticed something awesome in google search. Here it is:link in google search.jpg

I have found that a website's link can appear differently in google. I think it was pretty cool.
The first circled link appears as ... > Youtube Help > Manage Channel
while, the second appears as... /youtube/answer/....

And I also realized that most of popular websites will appear like in the 1st link in google.
My questions are:

1. Is there any positive impact in SEO if we make our website link to be like the 1st type?
2. How do you make it like that?

I am really curious about the answer. If you are so kind to give me the answers, I am so much more than appreciate it =)

Cheers,

The term you're looking for is https://www.google.com/search?q=breadcrumbs+in+google+search+results&oq=breadcrumbs+in+google+&aqs=chrome.0.0j69i57j0l4.2980j0j7&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8.

You can configure those with metadata/markup embedded into your webpages:
https://developers.google.com/search/docs/data-types/breadcrumbs

Also, Yoast can do this, if I recall correctly. I haven't actually tried it myself, but it should be easily doable.

It will be cool if yoast can do it. I'll check it out!

Schema markups also help make your site look awesome. Like for reviews, products etc.

I believe how the link was shown on serp IS seo impact, not the other way around.

You might mean CTR, but if it was me, I won't be impressed with that kind of url.
Title and headline (excerpt) works for me, sometimes domain and article date, but never the irrelevant looks.

If google can't get it consistently right, what hope do we have? lol

i think you need to be a authority website to get it working anyway, it not straight away...

as you no google takes time to mature then does it told.

You can use plugn "Yoast SEO" if you are using wordpress site. This is very good plugin, with the help of this you can change url, title, description etc

Yeah, thank you. I've found it. It's called breadcumbs. I am still learning how to put yoast code for breadcumbs in my web theme, though.
