Hello, guys. What is the best way to avoid chargeback? I sell virtual equipment, gold, items and characters in some games, but I only work with money transfer and deposit because I am afraid of chargebacks. Our product is 100% good, but some people buy only to get the item and then do chargeback. Hope you guys can help me, I am sorry for my bad english.

Hey guys, thanks for replying. I never sold anything using credit card or paypal, I am 10 years in the market, lost tons of sales because we don't accept "credit card related" payments. We sell stuff for many steam games, archeage, tree of savior, ragnarok online and some requested items.

Use a neutral site with middleman or reviews about your service. I think its the best way

Can you tell me more about it, please? I have only reviews on facebook.

I cannot remember the name of the website (I used one time) am out of the gaming scene some years now, but you can search for trading accounts with middleman on google

Maybe use an escrow service or Bitcoin for large sales, and consider PayPal/CC for small sales - chargebacks and disputes are unavoidable with PP and CC but small amounts are less painful than big ones

Oh ok, middleman. I get it. I don't think this will help us, since we have a large amount of customers, the problem is I want to accept credit card but need to avoid fraud/chargeback.

Yes, man. Bitcoin is awesome, we will implement this as soon as possible, but where we live not so many people use, since 1 BTC = 20+ minimum wage.

Bitcoin is your friend no chargebacks
Yes, thats good advice. Thanks.

So, paypal is not good? I heard many people saying paypal will be on the buyers side in case of virtual goods... any other viable options? I don't know any. G2A someone ever used it and know about taxes, fees, chargeback protection?

If you get charge back, send to his address empty envelop with tracking number. Provide tracking number to paypal make sure you are on seller protection, if you have tracking number you'll win easy. ;) Believe me this is working.

there a way to stop chargebacks with paypal

you got to exsplain on the advert there will be no returns on all products no matter what ,all product problams can be solved directly and no chargebacks are vilid.

then a statemrnt to paypal in the advert.

i do not at all give any money refunds or chargebacks on all my products, i value my customers and will fully rectify any unhappy customer within 14 days . do not at any point return any payments , i use this service only as a payments gateways processor and have my own refund policy , i do not use the paypal protection sceme .

what will happen paypal will tell the buyer the advert specific states no refunds and all problams are solved with the seller ...

There are ways to better protect yourself from charge-backs when it comes to PayPal. I can only speak from experience so if you have a Business Verified PayPal account, I encourage you to only accept payments for digital goods via Invoices. When you create your invoice, make sure you state in the terms that you offer no refunds etc etc and that by purchasing you acknowledge and agree to the terms etc etc... Very good chance the dispute closes in your favor. All you need is the buyers email to send the invoice, they can choose their preferred method of payment.

Hope this post is helpful to some of you. o_O

once mention no returns in a advert or invoice case closed in your favour

also state your personaly sort all problams out .

remember always keep a copy of any chat logs with problams....

This is useful at this time for me too, I somekind what to build a game related store and have no idea what to use accept payment, I was afraid the chargeback of paypal etc, so its lucky to see this thread lol, thanks guys.

Hey guys, thank you all for the help, this is very useful information, I will put it to use asap.

I am also using paypal as a payment gateway for selling the digital goods. And chargeback is the biggest problem we have while using paypal as payment processor. No matter what proof we provide to paypal, Paypal always closes the disputes in to the buyer favor.

So guys if sending the invoice including the refund policy helps then we are going to do it right now. Can anyone help me writing the effective refund policy for PP?

Thanks
