Hello btwers, i have couple questions if anybody can help me.

Can creditors get into my coinbase wallet and take my bitcoins? If yes, do you guys know any alternative bitcoin wallet that i can avoid them?

Thanks in advance!

Coinbase will ban your account after you play with it enough.

Creditors? Do they know your login to the coinbase account?

I'm not sure, I wouldn't think they could though without your login info? If you're paranoid look into cold storage.

Disclaimer: I'm not a lawyer and I don't condone evading creditors or tax collectors lol

If I wanted to keep my bitcoins away from creditors I would install wallet software on my computer and keep my bitcoins myself. Of course I would keep duplicate backups off-site.

Thank you guys for your replies. I'm new with bitcoins and I do not know how it actually works. Neither in my bank have my login information but they can get money from there.

Technically, I think it would be considered an asset, so they might be able to get a court order. Not sure if it has come up yet legally.

Are you located in USA?

Don't broadcast you have BTC's & you should be fine, but this depends on who's coming for you. If you used your personal SS# on the Coinbase account and they report your BTC to team cyber guys then it get's shown as an earning or asset in the eye's of the IRS.

Everyone is a lawyer. IRS will see your BTC if you have your SS# attached to the account. If you have a lot of coin then move that coin out of coinbase ASAP

Yes, they ask me for the last 4 digits of my SSN to verified my information. I had no choice because they didn't let me buy, sent or transfer my bitcoins :(

That purchase was recorded then. How much coin did you buy?

I guess it’s no different to any other form of asset. Apart from that because it’s unregulated it’s probably harder for them to associate it to you in the first place. So I guess it depends how in depth they look into your assets.

I purchase $600 from coinbase and i have another $500 that i receive from my customers
Perform a full system virus scan then use your phone to send yourself an Email for Blockchain account detail. Copy & Paste the Username and Password into Blockchain account creation. Blockchain don't scam people. Enable 2 factor security and allow your phone to always be the thing that logs you into the account when trying to get inside. I wouldn't send all the coin to your Blockchain but just get your customers to pay you in the Blockchain wallet. Keep your Coinbase BTC in that wallet. Don't ever send BTC from your Coinbase to your Blockchain.

You can try to be secure while creating blockchain or not. PC worms are everywhere.

Dont know what its like in USA but the UK law is cryptocurrency is treated as foreign money.

If you bought through coinbase then there probably is a recorded transaction in your bank statement. If I was trying to hide money in crypto I would invoice myself from a fake company for a digital service or consultation fee and request to be paid in cryto then send that money to an unhosted address so nobody else can access.

If asked where the money has gone, its been spent on a digital service or for consultation

Coinbase does have ownership of your private keys
Transfer to wallet that gives you private keys to give you control
