The problem with alcohol is that it's not illegal so unlike other drugs which are hard to get you can find alcohol stores in every corner...that is what makes it very hard to quit.

Hey boss. Just wanted to say welcome back. I am also an alcoholic and drug addict and I have been sober since Feb 4th, 2014. So almost 4 years now. Life is immensely better than I ever thought it could be, and I am so blessed to have found my way out of addiction when I did. Always here if you need to talk!

You did 12 step programme?

Yes sir. Did 7 weeks inpatient to detox from all the alcohol, heroin and meth and then spent about a year in sober living while I worked my steps. I sponsor a few guys at a time now and regularly attend meetings to keep helping the newcomer and of course see my friends. Life is really good these days.
