Not at all... you get the Advanced search if you click into the search field, and click more. Then I like to do advanced searches and sort them by "most recent." For things that don't contain the date Google tends to deliver old threads. Also you can't just search titles in Google, which you can on the BHW search bar. Personally I use the BHW search about 90% of the time over Google or Bing when looking for threads.

What are you using RankerX for? I'm personally just using it for forum profiles/web 2.0 stuff.

GSA Search engine ranker is the best ever software i ever used. You can buy SEREngines to create web2.0s as well. You need a decent VPS and proxies to run it. GSA SER is one time based very powerful software. Highly recommended.

With all honesty I would suggest you to use your own hands, because not knowing any software can harm your site more than helping it to rank up.

Not sure people still using xrumer or such tools, I think now days manual links are king.

I'm inclined to agree with some of the posters here. Software alone for tier one is a tricky task. While it can help - I would now make at least 505 of my tier one manually or buying high quality manually created links. Though this depends on the niche and the competition.
The thing is (and I know I keep repeating this) Google isn't your competition - your competition is your competition. Google are just the rule makers (and goal post movers). So the golden rule is "just be one better than the site you want to beat" Whether that's link quantity, link quality, age, content, on site metrics. Be better at them and you'll win - and in some niches fully automated linking is still fine and dandy - but it's not like 2008 when "anything goes".
For second tier and indexing tier links automation is pretty much essential as you are talking about exponentially more links required with ever tier you go back.

GSA SER + SEREngines works great. You don't need any other web 2.0s posters as serengines works than most out there. Stay away from money robot.

Everyone just say same tool, but for me best is Argo content generator i use it to build all my PBN make it so easy and has many extra tools for SEO. Better as pure backlink tool because you can make many permanent PBN links this way.

No, I only using GOV/Edu , Web 2.0s sites as wordpress,jimdo, tumblr,... in RankerX. I only add my custom engines for Expired Tumblr, wordpress and Private Blog Networks to RankerX for managing for posting

GSA Search Engine Ranker is best one.. It was heavily featured in my tiered link building series and has had a bunch of awesome new features added across the past year.

It's not harm to automate what you do in your hands. You can automate almost anything in different ways. It's how you going to use it. Even with your own hands it still can be harmful. It all depends with how you use it.
tier 3 and tier 2 maybe - for that stuff use software - then apply pbn's and guest posting as you get to Tier 1. Also Google Sites make good tier 1 sites - obviously the content needs to be tip top - none of that article forge garbage on tier 1 or money sites these days
