I have two money sites in the same niche.
One is making the big money in phone cases niche, one is making small money in the screen protectors niche. they are both added to search console and analytics.

The niches are so similar that I started to sell screen protectors on my bigger money site, but I am tired of maintaining, and making unique content for the same products on different sites.

I want to merge them, but here comes the problem.

A have pbn backlinks from nearly the same domains to both of my money sites, and also built "white hat" backlinks on the same sites too, because the niche is so similar. Of course my bigger domain has 3 times more referring domain than the smaller, so not all the linking domains are similar, but about 30%.

Nowdays Google is clearly out of its mind, so wouldnt that be suspicious in some way for google? How its treating domain redirects nowdays?

Any kind of advice is appreciated!

Whats wrong with just continuing what your doing, doesn't seem like to much hassle to double update,
especially since both are making money, your getting paid to do it.

Writing unique "glass screen protector" content, for 100 types of phone. Is a pain in the ass.
Writing unique content for 100 products x2. That seems like a little bit of hassle to me.
And it sucks using two brands, two ecommerce account, and paying double fees for seo and hosting.

I'd be tempted to keep both going as well.
It does depend a little though...
Who are the updates for? Google or your consumers? Is it adding new products etc that need to be updated regularly because they are new items that need to be added - or are you updating to please Google?
If they are primarily for Google - then I'd leave the smaller site to earn in the background with maybe a new bit of content once a month or even less. If they are new products, I'd be tempted to keep both sites going. I'd also be tempted to sell the screen protectors via targeted Facebook posts. That sort of stuff sells gonzo on social media.

If it were me i would let the smaller site just run like it is. Then put focus into your main site.

swallow it
301 >crappy site > bigger site. done
chose either / if prior theme matches new theme, or 301 to subpage, linking out in content to other page of your moneysite to boost its ranking.

the stuff you did, I did like 2 dozens time this year to clean the mess I made in all years.

and be prepaired for some google dance.
