Are web traffic services a scam?

Hi, I was looking to buy some web traffic but I started wondering about the legitimacy of these services.

1. Some of these services promises real users from google organic search. How are they able to to drive traffic to my website through google if the users are real. The only possible way I can think of is them telling users to google my site, but that is not practical, the only way I see this happening, is if they are using bots to search google for my site.

2. Some offer low bounce rate real users. How are they able to control whether or not a user chooses to bounce? This just doesn't make sense to me.

And other things like offering real users that stay on the site for more than 30 seconds. You get the picture...Are these services scams? If not, can someone tell me how they are able to accomplish 1&2 with real traffic?

Simple, its called having a botnet. What they have access to is thousands of innocent peoples computers. It's a huge industry and selling webtraffic is one of the many ways to monetize them.

Most will probably be bots, the rest will be fraudulent traffic (i.e. hacked computers, etc). Basically, don't expect subscribers or sales from this kind of traffic. If you are looking for real, human visitors with potential, then you'll need to look elsewhere for your traffic. Basically SEO, social media, advertising, etc.

Fake Traffic / Bot Traffic as well as traffic from hacked machines can be tracked in GA , but it depends on bot developer

Advice: no one sells real traffic. You run AdWords for that or do some seo on your site to get real visits. People ask me will the traffic buy their products and I say I can't garrentee any buys. I don't tell ppl I sell fake traffic but money is what I want. Normally this fake traffic is used for alex rank buffing and fraud/bot clicks on adsense ads.

One of the services I purchased to get traffic on my website was doing the trick. They were targeting a visitor on their website which had a script that loads a new website every 30 seconds that means one visitor is viewing multiple website. They can get cheap traffic from any of the advertising sources and redirect those visitors to several websites by auto reloading new website after few seconds.

They call it a real user and not a bot traffic. As the user is not bouncing back so bounce rate is also less. As they are promising the user will be from google so they can also run google ads to get visitor from google search.

They're not necessarily a scam. They're also not real traffic.

There can be benefits to fake traffic in some cases, but you will never make direct sales to a robot.
