And if you can use money to get yourself in, then it's useless

Ehh, mind explaining why that is?

Anyways, the introduction section seems like a waste TBH.
I wouldn't mind it so much if it didn't show up in the Home feed.

A way to exclude certain sections from the Home feed would be a nice solution in general.
I could certainly do without the journey threads as well.

If replies to the introduction threads didn't contribute to the post count, then the people who still post "welcome" responses are the ones that do really want to make the new person feel welcome :) The new person will look back one day when they now know that posts in the introduction section doesn't count and see all the responses they received even when post count doesn't increase and feel warm inside :D

Is this all because I posted Hello?

Yes I agree, I am new here and only found this site from Google, but at the same time you need to have some way for people to interact.
So you think " hello " is the only way to interact on a forum with hundreds of threads, surely you can find something lol!

How many "hello" threads do we have to wade through each day?
It's needless and time waste. Just sayin'.

When you say "wade through" why don't you stay out of the introductions sub-forum altogeather? There are over 100 other sub forums (level depenent) for you to check out. https://www.blackhatworld.com/forums/

It's a way to try their first post for many and a sub forum that's fairly easy to ignore if you decide to. But we're a welcoming bunch - most of us - and there is nothing wrong with saying hi. Unless you're in a London "tube" when it's not the done thing.

Exactly what I was going to say.

Whilst I disagree with removing the section @nuf-ced I do think something needs to be done about the spam increase in that section.

Is this being looked at?

It is.

I imagine this private forum should be a place where members are manually selected by the Mods and higher statuses. They know they are good, know their shit, and trustworthy. This is the only way those members would share advanced methods that can get saturated easily. At least I am talking about me.

However, paying money doesn't make a person trustworthy, there are hundred of ways to get money and it doesn't tell anything about how experienced, useful or type of person u are.

I see requests such as this a lot, home page is the eternal source of all this BHW. Why not look at your watched forums instead if you don't want to see specific forums. https://www.blackhatworld.com/watched/forums

Today we had some amazing introduction threads, that just confirms what I already thought about that section. It's a great place for newbies to feel welcomed and warmed, cutting it would make the forum a bit less friendly.

Everything shows on the front page, so it can't be avoided

just remove the intro section off the home feed . problem solved
we vips report all the crap in there anyways which gets removed quite quickly.

problem u will always have is if members have almost no where to post
how will they ever get to 100 posts if they ever wanted to be a vip.

im sure they can use some kinda script or something where new members
can only reply 1 time in there or something.

and if they post to much report it, if u make posts = nothing in there
there just gonna spam the main forums, least in the intro area we
no where they are and the spam is contained .

Sure hit the report button it gets looked at remarkably quickly.

Haha, I see what you did there!:D

I have absolutely no problem at all with the current set up and no qualms about sending multiple reports in each day as you no doubt already know as you can most likely see the number of reports I do submit.

I know your response was possibly a bit sarcastic but since certain sections of the forum have had restrictions enforced the level of spamming has increased tremendously in areas such as introductions, obviously members believe it will go unnoticed and they still get their post count credit.

Anyway, I'm sure this will be sorted by the powers that be.

I don't really care but if it's in the new post refresh then I'm annoyed.

Wait, its the first time that i hear a feature like that, where can i edit it?

Just exclude the intro threads from the homepage? so anyone who actually wants to welcome new users can click on the intro section.

You need to get out more if you need to post a hello thread to feel welcomed by strangers on an internet forum
