BitCOIN After AUGUST 1st !!

We have a currency system that has worked for 1000's of years, why have hipsters decided to ruin it with QR codes and fancy words.

Your "1000s" of years is not clear. 100 years ago every coin was gold and silver, paper money had gold in bank, now we have 100% virtual money.
If bank get your $1000, they will make $100 000 from your 1k to give loans. What is more stupid? Bitcoin or fiat money?

I am not a financial expert by any means, but I'm pretty sure if I phoned up my land lord and asked to pay in bitcoin I'd be homeless.

Please tell me which currency system is stupid? The extremely volatile one that seems to be suited to thieves, buying illegal items online and money laundering... or the currency system the world currently uses?

Thanks

I can tell you one truth ;) - in next global crisis your dollars, euros or other will be substitutes for toiler paper. Of course the same with bitcoin but you can't use it in toilet ;) - so it's some value^^

The only real coins are GOLD, SILVER and PLATINUM and I can buy them with bitcoin fully anonymous what is perfect for me.

The ignorance is strong in this thread. Bitcoin will easily be worth twice as much as today by the end of this year. And yeah, nothing is happening on August 1st

Very good point sir !

The only real coins are GOLD, SILVER and PLATINUM

Everything else is virtual. On a side note, I don't think cryptocurrency are going anywhere. In fact, I believe they only way they are going is UP. Too much interest and too much interest from very powerful people and agencies. So, it's here to stay.

You are right to some point. However keep in mind that cryptocurrency is still in its early days and it will take a while for it to get accepted worldwide. Also the fact that there is nothing stopping the governments from printing more and more money is really scary. On the other hand, most of the cryptocurrencies have a market cap after which, you can create them anymore.. Just like the gold and other precious metals..

...for now BTC is accepted every day in more and more places, Japanese shops are using it as normal currency after goverment legalized it. It's huge market of high tech people. Snowball started and I think even govs will not stop it when enough number of countries legalize. It will be to late.

On August 1st Bitcoin will fork into a least two difference versions. One such fork is Bitcoin Cash (BCC). If you already own Bitcoin you will also have the same amount on any new chain. FREE MONEY! :D

One thing to note however that if you don't hold your coins in a wallet that you control the private keys to than you risk not benefiting from the split. Some exchanges will honour your current Bitcoin balance across multiple chains but exchanges such as Coinbase will not.

I'd focus on trading crypto and not using the brokers. Use an RSI-2 and MACD indicators. Learn to use them and you'll never lose and that market isn't going anywhere it'll eventually be as liquid as the FX market is today in maybe 6-10 years. Grow with it..

I used to feel this way too about cryptos. I confess I'm not an expert on cryptos, but I've been working hard to understand them lately.

What kinda changed my mind was to walk into a physical store recently and they had a Bitcoin banner on the wall. They're actually selling stuff in Bitcoin in real stores. If this catches on I can see how Bitcoin will no longer be the virtual often-crashing vaporware it's been in the past. I have no idea how government will tax it, but I'm sure the moment they find a way to tax it, it'll be everywhere. The only reason it's not official yet, is government can't easily tax it IMO.

The jews like the curently currency world system , so yeah , both systems are suitable for thieves.

That's an unfortunate comment.

RIP fake money.
You do realize even the fiat currencies are fake too.. Unless you deal in gold coins which have inherent value every currency is fake in that sense.

The dollar or pound is only as good as the value people deem it to be, same for btc.

Edit: wallet providers suck, agree with you here. That's why i only keep paper wallets only. Much safer imo.

Neither. The fiat currency does its job for now and BTC is the future. Not in the sense that btc in its current state will prevail, but the concept of a decentralized currency free from the clutches of a central institution.

i like to think of btc as the beta version of future virtual currencies. It needs a lot of work and innovation still, but you gotta start somewhere right?

with the current situation..US Govt seizing BTC domain and a lot of scams / thefts bitcoin will not last.. or maybe US will take control

What exactly will happen guys ?
i hear many stories and many articles !

I'd be more worried about governments regulating digital currencies into the ground.

I can send one for peanuts via Neteller, and don't have to worry if my balance has seriously decreased in value, been hacked or just magically disappeared, every morning I wake up.

Sending money (that might be worth nothing tomorrow or locked away by the wallet provider because they feel like it or stolen like mtgox) which has no buyer protection at all and cannot be spent in the real fuck world is stupid.

I'd rather pay the $80.

Ahh another nocoiner - do you even bitcoin bro?

with this fake money I could sent payment to China in seconds with small fees when banks are taking $80 ;)

No you can't. All transactions on Coinbase are pending, remember?
