College days. Have a close relationship with oregano. One day I'm passed out on the couch, laying chest down. I want to get up but I suddenly feel a massive weight on my back. I struggle and fight it, but to navail. I am pinned down like a specmen in a bug collection. It's heavy. I am scared. Kept me like that for about 30 seconds.

I was hearing a knocking on my door every morning at about 8 am for some time, even alone in the apartment, but i just ignore it and continue sleeping

Once, I rented a seaside holiday house and while I was there, I found out that an old man had passed away in this same house. At the second night I heard footsteps on the wooden floor boards on the top level (I was sleeping downstairs) but I was the only one there. (This was not expansion and contraction of the floors as explained by some but definite footsteps.) I checked the guest book the next day and people also noted similar activity while they were there. It was pretty unsettling and I heard it probably about 3 out of the 6 days I was there - at night only when all lights were out.

that's scary, I wonder why ghosts come out only at night

Not always at night, also during the day, but a lot of paranormal activity occurs at night especially in abandoned asylums/houses. If you've ever seen ghost hunter shows on TV, they almost always do investigations at night and paranormal activity is almost always captured when its dark. I found a quote from a website below. Not sure how accurate it is.

"if ghosts/spirits truly are ‘energy-based’ manifestations, then it makes sense that their ability to manifest could well be impaired by heavy ionization of the atmosphere also. In other words, it could actually be far easier for them to manifest at night, as opposed to the day"

Just a small update about the doll that's been with me for several weeks now.

The first few days were strange. On the second night, one of my standing drawing board (had not used for months) suddenly started creaking past midnight. I wasn't asleep then and I was pretty shocked because the board is relatively heavy and hasn't been moved since I stopped using it. It had NEVER made that creaking sound before. The creaking sound was as if something is pushing it. When I got up from my sofa and approach the board the sound stopped. I kept looking around but couldn't figure out what caused it to move as there wasn't any force applied to it (Newton's law?); it is also standing in balance. So I went back to my sofa only to hear the creaking sound again but it lasted only about 5 seconds and it stopped.

Since that very day till now there hasn't been anything out of the ordinary. Guess she has became my god-sister or housemate :D

So do haunted dolls exist? Well, that's debatable because dolls are simply objects just like your keys, figurines, watch, jewelry, .etc. If a doll can be haunted, so can these other objects. Not to mention that haunted dolls is a manifestation from entertainment and media industry. Unless if you're talking about voodoo dolls then maybe that's a different story (and there are actually eBay listing for haunted items that claims to hold Djinn spirits, could you believe that?).

@Sophie

What is your opinion? Do you think the doll could have been a host to a spiritual being? And if so, why do you think that the spirit attaches and manifests itself into a doll? If I remember from previously, you had mentioned that it was supposed to be a gypsy woman's spirit? I guess if that's the case, it wouldn't want to attach itself to just one location...

My theory of spirits changed significantly because of an absolutely mind and spirit altering Salvia divinorum trip. I'll have to work on that response, because it's quite a bit of a story. But the single sentence conclusion, is that we are all just spirits having an inner-body experience, all the while, these "haunting" spirits have not yet realized themselves to be spirits.

I once saw a ghost that looked like the man from KFC whilst I was urinating. That is the extent of my experience I'm afraid.

Hmm, in my opinion, I believe it is possible. Though I said I don't really believe in ghosts and I'm agnostic, I am slightly leaning towards the belief that the paranormal exists.

In fact, when I was waiting for my haunted doll to arrive I did some Googling about haunted dolls. There was an article about this woman who had a collection of nearly a hundred haunted dools and she swore some are haunted.:
http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/real-life-stories/mum-spends-thousands-haunted-dolls-5185276

And here's another article... a collector broadcast her haunted doll live and 80 viewers suffered chest pains and such: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/a...r-chest-pains-nausea-crippling-headaches.html

And a few months back there was this bunch of paranormal investigators who visited this haunted house - Sallie's house, if I remember correctly, and it is presumed to be the most haunted house in U.S. They put up several live webcams for all to watch in Youtube. And I was one of the live audience. I swore seeing black apparitions moving around the home. Yes, apparitions. I thought my eyes were playing tricks on me but many commentators were talking about it in YouTube's live chat. Pretty... creepy.

Then again, you never know if these are staged or edited. In fact, most haunted items seller are overhyping their products (like Clickbank salesletters) making it pretty convincing, but only to turn out they're not haunted.
It's like seeing beggars begging for money... some are legit, but some are scammers. And it is these scammers that make some people become sceptical to donate.

But one thing's for sure... I ain't gonna mess with an Ouija board ever again. I don't even dare to attempt that Charlie-Charlie challenge. Maybe any one of you dare to try it and let me know? :D

I agree with the ouija board, I've never touched one. I dont feel like being marked by a demon. As bad ass as I *think* I am, my fighting and combative skills don't do much to something on a different plane of existence...

As for doing research, it's really fucking hard, because so much of it is people wanting to scare for popularity. I prefer reading accounts. Even if they turn out to be false, my mind has a better capability of creating these things, than some assholes in a graveyard with a potato and a voice recorder.

I was never a big ghost guy myself, until I moved into my current house roughly 7 years ago. The original house was built in the 1950s and I do know that a couple people have died here. Through the years, there have been a ton of unexplained instances (doors being wide open, seeing shadows of people walking on my porch, weird noises in the basement, water turning on, etc..). I alway chalked it up to seing things or simply being forgetful.

The other night while alone (wife and kids were at the beach) and working out in my gym, I swear I saw a little boy run across my basement and straight into the wall. I let out one of those loud freaked out yells. Not the high pitched scream type, like the kind of yell you let out when you see a bear eating the food right outside your tent. It so loud, my dog, who would sleep through an earthquake, came down the basement. I was so freaked, I left the house and stayed at my buddy's place that night. I shit you not.

Now, I'm a big dude and I'm not easily freaked out. I've seen a lot of fucked up shit in my life, but that was by far one of the eeriest things I've ever seen in my life.

And yes, I was dead sober..lol.

That's because in daylight it would be a comedy show.

Probably just the postman.

Yeah, all is great here. Ha! I still had some weird dreams sometimes... in fact, just last week, I suffered another sleep paralysis (2nd one in my life so far. First being the Ouija Board incident). It was a very strange paralysis experience. I remember I was woken up in the middle of a night by a very terrified scream. It's a scream of a man. I woke up but I was in a paralyzed state. I can't move. Then I slowly drown back to sleep only to be woken up later again and feel as if someone is watching me. I felt scared. I tried my best to move and I can remember being able to move my shoulder but not my arms and whatsoever. Next thing it was morning.

Then the very next day, I dreamt I met a witch and she morphed into a very old acquiantance of mine who became pale as a ghost, in a delusional state, was covered in blood, in a room smeared with blood, and she kept saying she wish to devour some blood. Wtf I know. But meh, I don't want to think too much and be crazy about it. Might be due to the fact that I've been a little stressed lately. So oh well~~~

That's my pet rabbit! I just call him "White Rabbit" (from Alice in Wonderland). These two are my companions at home.

Yeah, been pretty busy with some new IM projects lately. And now I'm having a short break (with a good O' glass of wine) so I'm here to post a little update :D

OP: Loving this thread. Many say not to fuck around with the boards because even tho though board itself isn't holding power, per se, it is your intention that can invite something and that something might not be what you would want. As you said, close the convo, and also state that what you have communicated with must go and is not welcome to stick around. And yes, sounds like you haven't learned your lesson, Sprinkle some sea salt around you and call it a day, lol. Show us the doll when you get her! In the meantime, I am going to list a bunch of stuff as haunted and get rich.

In my experience with sleep paralysis, there is never a dark figure hanging around like some report.

That reminds me.... I like Sucker Punch the movie. And their cover of Jefferson's White Rabbit.
