Yes, comma separated and it works for blogger, but not tumblr, on tumblr it looks like this:

after the "hiphop" tag there are plenty others in the applet, but not on tumblr

Its probably IFTTT or rss limitations, just use 5-7 tags. Tumblr will actually consider only first 5 as far as I know.

Did you have the same tags over and over again? I'm using a similar trick but always with static tags.
