Just hit 17k Follower fully afk.

Nice one!

A simple question for you, do you have any problems with your tags?
When i use tags via IFTTT they are not fully shown at the post on Tumblr,
it shows like this: example, example, example, example, example, exam
it just cuts there and all the other tags are not added.

I've had this exact same problem, and it sucks pretty bad as I've read somewhere around here that you can use up to 20-30 tags on tumblr, however maybe that's changed or is incorrect :(

And Congratulations to you, OP, I have been using this same method since January and about to hit 28k (also have one in the luxury niche I started in April about to reach 6k. A lot slower growth on that one, but I imagine that's normal as the luxury/travel niche is pretty brutal to break into/very heavily saturated)

I'm curious as to how to monetize these myself, as I don't really want to sell them or use anything shady as its my intention for these to be my legit blogs that I actually enjoy running and want to keep from getting banned.

Been trying to direct some traffic to their associated twitters, instas & Snapchat with little luck.

Basically just enjoying experimenting with them, and it does keep me engaged that their both on topics I truly enjoy, but I wonder if there's something I'm missing as far as converting traffic.

PS, Wow, wall of text, sorry. I tend to ramble on subjects that I'm passionate about! Lol

Man, you and I are in the same boat.

Currently have comedy niche at 30k followers and a tattoo niche at 32k followers each growing 100 followers per day.

Been trying amazon affiliate, little luck.

Adsense doesn't seem to be working, although I have been thinking of putting that ads in each post rather than one ad on the top of my tumblr blog homepage.

Last year tumblr said they were going to start letting tumblr users make money with their own ad system, I really hope this happens.

Untill then I will simply just keep growing and making new tumblrs till I find a way to really monetize them.

Did you have the same tags over and over again? I'm using a similar trick but always with static tags.

I've used OP's same method fairly successfully, and I tend to use a lot of the same tags with a little variety thrown in for each RSS recipe I create on ifttt. I basically just try to check up and see which ones seem to be working best and keep/alter them accordingly, of course it can be hard to tell sometimes as what works best can vary greatly just based on content no matter what the tags, so it can be a bit of a guessing game (However, I'm doing everything manually, so maybe some of the softwares that are out there can analyze tags better, I really need to look into that myself, lol)

I've been having a lot of problems with AdSense myself, I can't even get it to show up on the blog no matter how many times I check and double check the code, etc.

I'm signed up right now with Share a Sale instead of Amazon affiliates as it seemed like an easier one to start with at the beginning, but my problem seems to be that one of my main blogs is in the beauty and fashion niche and is followed by a lot of teenage kids who can't or don't buy anything, lol.

I've been trying to experiment with monetizing by attempting to get referrals to various programs/apps I'm a member of that pays out if someone just signs up or downloads the app, but not much luck there, and definitely hard to find legit paying referral programs that cater to that niche.

So the experiment continues ! :)

Best of luck to you with your journey, friend!

You should try ogads/cpagrip/maxbounty(depending on your niche) with this audience.

I tested it via manually adding tags, and you can add 30 tags, seems to be a problem on IFTTT's side

I've thought about/toyed with this, but tumblr is so notoriously known for being super-ban-happy at even a sniff of this, I really hate to lose these blogs, may set up a new one and try this

Yeah, I figured as much. Good to have confirmation on what tumblr allows though!

It's a bit of a bummer for me as ifttt is some of the only scheduling/scraping, etc. software I have access to right now, but as its working out pretty well with just the few tags it allows to go thru, until I can upgrade I can't complain :)

hey bud, ill be willing to help with monetization if your willing to show me how you setup your blogs

maybe you can try and direct traffic to a landing page outside tumblr

Great job buddy. How long has it taken to grow that size of account? I usually lose interest after a few weeks...

I did set up a travel blog like this in Oct 2016 and totally forgot it, until today... I just checked it, the RSS source was dead after 1 month, 72 posts have posted so far and I got 1972 followers. Imagine how many followers I could have if it was up till today. FML.

Been about 5 days since I started. It's at 150 posts, got 300 in queue and on rotation, been working sweet.
Many notes, not as many followers though. Works well

how comes you lot who even got accounts don't no how to monitize accounts.

i am very sure internet marketing about making money with internet methods.

you understand what a niche is ,well I hope you do.

know you find a afflicate in that niche, and send a link | url or picture to your users to get traffic to a website to click the link from your afflicate .

or you send them to your website to sell a product ....

how can anybody not understand that ?

if you not registered as self employed or a business exspect a tap on the door from tax man.

Set up an auto poster with some tags, this is all organic growth.
Hey buddy, good stuff!
Please forgive me for this potentially pesky question, but if I wanted to make a program that does the same thing, what would the logic be?
For example:
  1. import RSS feeds into program
  2. start with random post from feed
  3. send post to my tumblr account
  4. wait
  5. repeat steps 2-4
Does that sound correct?

Also, how does the post reach tumblr? I tried looking at your ifttt applet, but am new to that site and how it does things. (also to tumblr too amazingly!)
So I don't see how the logic works in the background, just descriptions of each step.

So I am just confused as to how to connect any content into tumblr from an outside source. Sorry for the long dumb question!

Ye thats basically how it works.

You connect your tumblr to ifittt and authorize it.
