Need Content? Don't Burn Your Money Here!
Hey BHW! I'm Adam, a fellow Internet Marketer and forum member since 2015. I ordered content before that I didn't like, but I never left a bad review because those guys were atleast friendly and they actively helped to make their content better, sadly this isn't the case with
@Najitsirk . So this is my heads up to you before you
waste your money and time on this guy. Keep reading to find out what went wrong!
Red Flags vs Big Discounts
When I first contacted him he didnt get an obvius joke, and wrote me a serious response. I didn't went through with that project because if someone dosen't have a sense of humor, he can't be a good writer.
However last week I've seen his "Summer Sale" and opted for a purchase ignoring the second & third red falgs which were the followings:
He never sent my free review copy which I ordered 3 weeks ago. Why offer review copies when you can't finish them? Anyway I asked about it him, and asked what is the tat for a new article if I pay?
He replied that he has a lot of orders so be patient with the review copy.
Again he didn't get what I wanted and had to repeat myself. I realized that he has issues with reading comprehension, yet I went through with the order because it was on sale, and I was acting like a typical buyer who tought he will save money. How naive.
My order without outing my product and keywords:
"Hey! I would like a product review about this *****
Main kw: ****
Secondaries: ***
Persona should be a succesful 30+ male.
Start the review with the introduction of the persona, make connection to the readers, grab attention. 200 - 300 word.
Then go and review the book, turn features into benefits. Review should contain a list with bulletpoints, a conclusion, and should softsell with atleast 4 text call to action line which fits well into the article.
And it should be fully seo optimized. title, h2, h3, first and last paragraph."
I admit it's a bit vauge, but I used to writers who know the basic product review template, so I tought it's enough. Here is what I got:
- A 900 words story, I asked 200 max 300.
- No subheading in said 900 word.
- I asked soft selling, the article starts with "before I review this magnificent piece of art". Dude I didn't ask you to make them bounce immediately. Also repeating the "buy" word is the exact opposite of softselling.
- CTAs don't call to action, I didn't notice them until he sent them in his answer.
- He put eneter after every sentences. (???)
- He put numbers before the few subheading he generously made. That's not a bulletpointed list. There are no 500 words text blocks between the bulletpoints in an ideal word.
- The article isn't SEO optimized.
When I realized that none of my requierement were made I asked him to rewrite it and he sent back an answer almost as long as my 1500 words article where he told me point by point how everything is my fault, and how everything is there. Basicly refused to admit any mistakes, and agreed to shorten the 900 word intro because he is "no one's bitch" and "I helped you big already".
I copy paste some of his answer here because it's hilarious and enraging at the same time.
Lets's start with the intro
I admit that I failed a bit on this one. I spent too much time on that but I felt the need to both explain my life and explain what a [insert niche] really is.
I can shorten it to 500 if you are fine with it and put the other 400 into better use as in add cons or another pro?
You decide.
I asked a 300 word intro top, it's good he offerd a 500 words one for the second try. Anyway I asked him to not write a persona because he failed with the first one.
How did I fail with the persona?
I mean dude I don't really like how this is going.
He didn't get it again after I just told him. (200 < 900)
The softsell part
I informed him about the ridculous "magnificent piece of art" line and the repeated "buy/purchase" words. His answers:
Your personal opinions on whether or not a book is a piece of art don't concern me.
Its not about you but the customer.
I tought I'm the customer here not my audiance.
YOU WILL NEVER SELL A FUCKING COPY IF YOU DON'T EXAGGERATE!!!
Dude I sold few hundred already so please don't know better than me, just because you don't know how to softsell. I suggested that maybe he should use "learn more" instead of "buy
I mean you tell me that I should include a 'click here to learn more' at this point?
This just really isn't the level of communication I'm in for man.
Yeah, I didn't expected this level of communication either.
Bulletpointed list
Honestly I met bad writers before him but never met anyone who didn't know what a bulletpointed list is. When I sent a sample bulletpointed list he replied this
This is the problem dude, I CANNOT POSSIBLY KNOW WHAT'S GOING ON IN YOUR HEAD!!!
That is why I demand a fucking essay when it comes to providing me with info- MISCOMMUNICATION OCCURS SO EASILY.
So If you decide to burn some money and wanna order make sure to link him an example article, example bulletpoints, example headers, example formatting, and an udemy course about the desired tone...
...Or just save your hard earned money and time and go elswehere / write your own article.
He has some PRO's too:
- Grammar is excellent, however some senteces are overcomplicated.
- Tat is fast (You have to calulate the after editing tho)
- He is more of a storyteller than a contentwriter, and not so bad in it. The sad thing is that he writes marketing material in the same style, even when It isn't requested.
Mod involved
The only reason I didn't open a paypal disupte because
@I know SEO said:
The shit list is for people who have been ripped off or scammed, the seller could have absolutely done a better job here but this in my eyes is not a scam. I think a fair and honest review is probably going to be the better action to take however if you disagree you're welcome to submit a shit list.
In an ideal world the seller will join in and bring the article up to the standard you expect.
Thanks
His response, and I think this is what summs up his personality best:
Spending 5 hours on a 1500 word article, working with someone that tells me '30 dollars is a lot of money' does get me a little moody but im glad this was resolved while I was sleeping.
Do us both a favour and never order from me again.
Actually I never said it's a lot of money, but that's irrelevant. The fact is he only cares about his customers until their money arrives to his paypal. Even if it's a small amount, you provided a shitty article and rudness in exchange.
You don't value your customer and his money at all.
Oh and I spoke with few of the guys who provided good reviews for a review copy, and they said the same about the article quality. Of course they didn't complain for a free article.
Anyway I ended up just using the article as a filler content on one of my web2, and ordered a better one for half the price.
Have a nice day!
