Ok so let's say you're 16 or 18 and you know all the basics of everything.
You know how to learn, you know how to think, you know how to be social.
Is it still necessary to go another 5-8 years to school and college to learn things you won't ever need?

and by going to a DECENT university you gain some sort of self respect, you know how much you are worth in terms of dignity.
can money earned from online by u dignity?
do u have a contract with ur AFF manager so that you get paid a min FIXED amount every year?
you have no security working online whatsoever, UNLESS you belong to a minority which have already made a bank from working online and know what they are doing to keep getting that money.

Yes i admit, i'm still young and haven't experienced much. I will fail in many things and i'll learn from it.
But that doesn't mean i'm going to experience the same things you've experienced.

I'm sorry, I simply don't agree. Anyone can learn brain surgery from the internet. You just need a few willing friends for you to practice on. Failing that, you can hire them from India. I often hone my brain surgery skills by opening the skulls of immigrants. It's 5 bucks a pop well spent in my opinion!

Back in my day.. I had to walk FIFTEEN MILES to school, no matter what the weather! I had tennis rackets for shoes in snow storms, and had clothes made from potato bags!

That edumacation is the reason why I have real snow shoes and real clothes now!

Lol.. really though, I didn't go to college but wish I did. They make you work and actually apply yourself or you fail, that alone is a good enough lesson learned.

These "should I bother with school" threads are getting old. The people that typically chime in saying don't waste your time are other 15 year olds who made $60 last month, think that school will just slow them down from the six figures they'll surely make next month and who's most traumatic life experience thus far has been back-to-school clothes shopping with their mom.

Not to trounce on the young people here but you just don't have a basis to make a responsible recommendation. Ask anyone on here over the age of 30, who stayed in school (or wishes they went), whether they would do it again if they had the chance and I bet the majority would say absolutely.

Boring morning, absolutely nothing else to do. It was fun though. You`re a good kid, I can tell that. Don`t take yourself so seriously. But take school seriously.

And my experience has helped me make enough that I can live a life of freedom, and have the time to impart my wisdom to a 16 year old when most other older people are too busy struggling and couldn`t give a shit.
