Wow... School and College are very outdated :(

Those last years I realized what most of Internet Marketers and Entrepreneurs already know...

and It made me feel a bit depressed...

I see people going to colleges just to take notes on their notebooks (or worst their LAPTOPS AND PALMTOPS) from a perceived authority that is just saying what the books are already saying

to graduate and get a 9-5 stable job on government or an office!

It could be done from home, which could save gas, time, energy and stress on traffic!

Most teachers call themselves teachers, most are just instructors!

In other words, they eat and then they regurgitate and we have to eat their shit and pay for this?

Well not really. The world needs educated people to perform the vital functions of society. A lot of the knowledge we possess should be learned from authority. Just because you can be a free thinker, doesn't mean that you should shun all accepted wisdom. Some of it may well be correct - others obviously thought so. Good does come from education, and you find people coming out of it with a greater capacity to think.

But I agree on the 9-5 score. All my friends who went on to get jobs are unhappy with them in some measure. IM is a godsend. It's just a shame that in about 5 years time, Google's hiring of the best young minds in computer science will pay off and it'll find a way to shut down SEO for good. Until then, let's party.

The only people that say college sucks are the ones who struggle through it...

Education is a big part of your life, not saying just PURE MATHS will help you live your life BUT it will Develop your brain into something much better for you to use.

As for the money, Unless you know what you are doing online you will never be able to have a secure, constant income and i guarantee only 5% of the people on this forum are able to have this income.

Education is important to learn the basics of a lot of things and to learn social skills.

However, once you actually know pretty much all the basics of chemistry, biology,....
there is no need to go in-depth and study the whole human body for those who aren't going to need this anyway.

A teacher even told us that we'll forget most of the stuff we learn when we grow up.

Look at it this way:

College is for the fallback 9-5 job in case Internet marketing don't work out for you.

School, college, whatever, it's very important, and don't ever let any bum tell you otherwise.

You don't go to school to learn to be a millionaire, or to get a job. Those idiots that think that's why they are going to school will be sitting in some (Go nowhere....I wasted my fucking life) job.

You got to school to learn how to learn....period. The reason you learned how to make money online was because you were taught the "Learning process", in school.

Thats what you get out of school, learning different learning processes. The information you learn in school is not always applicable in real life.

The learning process....well learned.....is applicable in every facet of life.

Never listen to any fucking idiot that says school is not important.

Ok so let's say you're 16 or 18 and you know all the basics of everything.
You know how to learn, you know how to think, you know how to be social.
Is it still necessary to go another 5-8 years to school and college to learn things you won't ever need?

What part did you miss. You should definitely stay in school.

And if you think you got all the basics learned by the time you`re 18 then good luck to you, because I don`t think any amount of school will teach you anything. You would be what`s called `Learning disabled` .

Maybe you could get a job busing tables, dunno. It would probably give you just enough to live on your own anyway.

You could always do half and half, just stay away from Ivy League colleges I'm sure that is what a lot of the BHWers here (including me) are doing.

Stay in school and work on your business. Learn stuff applicable to your business. And learn stuff just for the fun of it.

Learning is investing in yourself.

Learning how to learn is the point of school. You may think you have it all figured out, that you`ve learned all you can, or need to learn.

You wouldnt be unique, ALL young people think like that.

Ivy League colleges are the most prestigious colleges, and thus demand a shit load of time and energy. Sure you could be a genius and do hardcore IM while studying 4-5 hours a day, but for most people that is just too much.

I'm almost 17 by the way.

Learning is NOT investing in myself. Learning useless things is a waste of time.
It has been said that you will forget most of the things you've learned when you grow up.

The only reason i'm still in school is because i don't have any money to prove that i'm capable of living on my own.
The only thing school is good for right now is that it's really motivating me to work so i can be able to quit school and work full-time.

Don't get me wrong, i'm not saying school is bad, but it's just that some people might feel they have already learned what they need to learn after some time and that school will become an obstacle to what you really want to do.

You're talking about unique as if i'm trying to be unique.
I'm not. It's a good thing people think like i do. They'll usually achieve more things at a younger age.

I don't know how old you are, but think of it this way.
Would you rather study 8 years and make a good living, working for someone else for the rest of your life, knowing that being fired from your job would be a horrible thing financially or put all your efforts into a business and have a chance of making massive profit( or perhaps failing miserably) ??

Would you rather study 8 years and make a good living, but still ask yourself everyday for the rest of your life what it would've been like if you took the other road OR you choose that road and experience the outcome?

I know what i'll pick and i'm sticking to it.

edit: I just thought of something. You're probably thinking i'm just another young kid who is too ambitious and will learn that life isn't how he thinks it is when he grows up. I know, i think of the same thing when i see other motivated kids, but that doesn't stop me from working to make my dreams come true.
