Hey bud, Good luck on that! I think i don't really have time for a journey (yet), but i am trying to give you some advice for your compilations channel.

-Create Instagram Accounts (2 or 3 in your niche) and heavily promote them with your videos (lets again assume your in the fail compilation niche.) - Post 1 - 3 videos a day and in some of the videos include the phrase "Link to the full video is on my Profile Page". People will click on your Instagram profile page and click on the link. (I've done it myself!).

-Make sure that the video is quality and not just some copy and paste bullshit. While your editing the compilation, make sure to remove boring parts of the videos, because that will make your users bored and they will eventually click on something else

-Find websites that you can embed your video on, there are a crapton of "Fail" Video Sites out there where you can post a video to and maybe even embed your link to it.
(Reddit would be a great source for that too, but don't spam it. This will result in a ghost ban)

-Be the first one to make a compilation out of brand new videos. If you have found brand new videos that just got submitted -> go ahead and make a video out of it, users will love it!

-Analyze your competition and be better than them (This part speaks for itself. Give the viewer a reason why they should rather be watching your videos instead of the other guys videos)

Earnings also depend on the Niche. What niche is your friend in? If most of the views are from Tier 3 Countries then the earnings are always low. Check where the views came from.

Most of his views are from U.S.A and niche is funny kid skits.

I will add my tip and ask a question. I like to make "silo" or authority playlists, with a natural description and comments with a compliment about the video along with a playlist link to find their video. Be sure to order by popularity.
After the playlist ranks number 1, I will go and monetise the description and reorder manually with specifically monetised videos interspersed throughout the playlist.
Question is in a niche where views are hundreds and maybe thousands after a year, many high retension views are per 1000, which would look spammy and suspect. What do you recommend? Is there a drip service for small amounts of views?

Sorry, totally overlooked that question. There are drip feed services out there, how much views are you looking for per day?

I don't know keyword in google search and youtube search are same or not(search volume, competition...) because most free tools in internet show me keyword of google search.

You can use the keywordtool.io and if you get limited on there just change your IP and you should be good to go.
Another tool that i mentioned in my op is tubebuddy. Download it and at the right side of the Video you should See the tags... go from there and maybe add a broad Word to it or remove something.
And you can always use keywordplanner by google. Should work fine as well, but it only Shows the google search results afaik.

That is damn low, of course it can be a "special case" when a lot of your viewers have AdBlock.. but 0.01$ is extreme. Maybe you should ask the support of Youtube. I really don't know what could cause that, but i'm gonna look around on the Internet and if i find some useful info i'll get back to you.

1) Still in testing but my current project has everthing ticked but
*Document Sharing
*Video Audit
*Wiki

2) Yes. However, i wouldn't recommend trying this.. i don't know if google penalizes Youtube Videos.

3) Varies. I built 1k Backlinks on one video and it sits at 200k views now and i built 10k backlinks to videos that don't get any attention at all.

4) It seems like the better it performs in the first 24 hours the better performance it will have overall. If you have the option to buy views, then do it in the first 24 hours after uploading the videos. It might work for older videos as well, but i don't think it has such a good effect as buying views on a new video. However... Always make sure that you have a very interesting thumbnail that people wanna click. Because if you don't have this, then views and backlinks won't help you much either.

Youtube nowadays is more about Title, Description and the Thumbnail - If that is awesome, your views will be awesome.

HI new to the forum... thanks for the help..

I have a few questions..

I recent started my channel 28days, my niche is very specific, gaming channel (street fighter v). I've been using tags that puts me on the front page of youtube in that particular niche, I've been gething more views than the average person, which is 250+ views that I get.

My thumbnails are good, and my tags are as well. The channels lower than mine get 50-100 views, I get around 250, but the channels above me get 5-10k a day. I joined reddit which I get my few views from, but it's not enough, started a fb page, and a twitter as well.

Would like to know if I need to be patient seeing that I haven't even gotten the url from youtube yet (have to be 30 days) and also reach 10k first?..
I'm from Trinidad and my traffic sources and (58% external) (24% youtube search) (5.8% other youtube feature) (13% other)..

Don't know anything about backlinks etc.. can you help?
