So I have been in talks with spotifymarketer (apparently Aaron) to do some Spotify plays.

Everything went well until I paid him $1000 to start work.

Every time I contacted him, he had some random excuse and so I have had enough.

I have requested a refund, however now I am being ignored.

Further to that, he told a very close acquaintance of mine that his name is Mario.

Clearly, this motherf*cker is on here to scam people as he has already started to contact people, telling them that he can supply them Spotify plays.

Please see all correspondence below:

I would appreciate any help in this regard as I thought I was being nice and sent the money as friends... now I can't dispute it.

Thank you @BassTrackerBoats .

They are just full of excuses.

Told me they have been hacked and that they will refund... Then they just disappeared and no refund was made.

Managed to get my AM from Paypal to open a dispute, however it's still up in the air as to what will happen.

Please see below:

Thanks

He has been on BHW since this went live and chose not to respond.

That is usually not a good sign.

Please keep this thread updated with the PP resolution.

Yes sir. Will do.

Paypal said that since they had to manually open it and escalate to the risk department, it might take a while.

In saying that, my AM has confirmed that they are scammers as they have multiple open claims on their account and thousands taken.

Will update as I get more info.

Thanks for your help @BassTrackerBoats

I am glad I saw this.

ALSO SCAMMED BY SPOTIFYMARKETER (FAMEIFY.COM) OUT OF $1,000.

He really did deliver a few plays (around 100K) but has had sooo many excuses and totally missed the promised delivery window. I contacted for a refund and since have also stopped hearing back. Also he uses so few proxies it is the most obvious and dangerous type of plays. ridiculous.

Luckily paid Friends and Family through paypal but with CC. I haven't dealt with chargebacks before but are there any tricks to make the chargeback go off without a hitch?

UPDATE:

upload_2017-6-16_18-30-55.png

Will update here as well. Just to be clear, he really did deliver almost 150K plays for me (I ordered 1MM) but it took way longer than he said it would and was very inconsistent. Also I only had 800 unique IPs (monthly listeners) which makes me think he is just starting to promote music and is in somewhat over his head. In a month or so I'd imagine he ups his unique IPs and is able to deliver consistently. For these reasons I requested a refund.

I will update with any news if he refunds or not.

We aren't scammers, and it's shallow for PayPal to say such when we have been with them for years. We are currently having disputes dropped, one client at a time. We won't explain anything here, we have explained our peace in honesty. We grew real fast, and our technologies failed us in the end. As we said right now we are correcting that one dispute at a time.

Glad I could help mate. Also keep us posted. I spoke to him last night, and he is full of shit. He has excuse upon excuse and apparently is in the negative with PayPal now from all the disputes.

He was obviously in way over his head and he didn't realise that I know most suppliers and resellers in this industry personally. So when I sent him communication from other people, he kinda changed his attitude, but then again... just ignored me and disappeared.

I have not been scammed nor trying to put in the good words for this service provider. However I will like to inform the 'victim' that spotify has done a massive update to their system last month. The update causes a lot of drops in streaming as Spotify is able to capture and identify fake streamings or streaming from the same sources. I myself have been affected greatly by it. Maybe this service provider as well. Biggest issue lies with the IPs used in this case. Seems like Spotify has wise up and able to identify proxies from server and residential IPs.

I disagree with you mate. Having my own systems (doing premium only plays), along with always checking what's going on in the market and testing other sources (which I wont name as they don't have anything to do with this), there are no issues other than with this idiot.

Fair enough, there might be some IP problems, however, the reason for this shitlist is that Fameify @spotifymarketer took money. Didn't deliver services and is refusing to refund now.

That to me screams, con artist!

Also, the YouTube hard update has us down on that end as well. Anyways, we are already on the shitlist and will continue to bring our business to good standing one client at a time, and we have been working with PayPal today and are clearing our business account with them. For now we won't accept any new orders, and will complete what we have to end majority of the remaining disputes and refund the unreconcilable ones. That's it. Later.

Actually you are required to explain here.

Still waiting on my refund and your nonchalant, arrogance is pathetic!

Wow. Glad I saw this but also am sorry that others had to go through Mario/Fameify. Unprofessional and incompetent at best. Manipulative and deceptive at worst.

We first connected after he started advertising a Spotify views bot on BHW (beginning of May 2017). He wanted $800 via PP Friends/Family but had very little proof that he actually owned a bot. When I started asking questions, he disappeared for several days before announcing that he was launching a new brand (what became Fameify) and that he would email me when it was launched. Sure enough, by the end of the weekend, his website appeared and he emailed me. Almost immediately, there were clear and evident problems. He didn't even have the right PayPal address on his website at first so people were sending money and then having to request refunds from this other account!

I ordered 25K streams and paid Mario/Fameify $50. He told me originally that it would take up to 5 days. I understand that this isn't nearly the level ($1,000 for 1M streams) that the OP originally discussed but I feel like it might be helpful for the community to know that there is a pattern, both large and small orders. Over the next 3 weeks, Fameify only delivered 10,000 streams. This; after numerous (almost daily emails) requesting updates and questions about why my stream number increased a little but not the overall monthly listeners. He even promised to throw in a free extra 25,000 streams for a total of 50,000 streams. Finally, on June 9th I requested a refund. Mario sent an email back that because I wasn't one of his big customers, he didn't mind losing me.

It is now 10 days later and he has still not refunded me. Mario is in way over his head and did not have the capacity to deliver the orders he said he could.

BIGGER PICTURE:
I think Mario/Fameify had a good idea and really good prices which is why so many people seem to have been scammed by him.

I'm still looking for a bot or developer who could make a legit Spotify streams bot. Please email me [email protected] if you've any ideas or contacts.

Thank you!

1 week later. Any refunds?

Not by them no. However having an Account Manager at Paypal, helps a lot.

They opened a dispute for me even after I sent it as Friends.

2 Days ago, I won the dispute.

So to answer your question. NO. They did not refund. All they do is lie and give excuses.

Same story with other clients of theirs (who I know personally).

They make fake meetings, ignore emails. Ignore messages, etc.

Excuse upon excuse:

They have since gone offline and never replied.

Some feedback from another client they scammed out of $7,000:
