Hello BHW,

Long time lurker, about to start migrating to Clickbank from D2D and Amazon. I generate about 400 usd a month currently through 8 books on foreign language education. I'm been dabbling in online marketing for about 2 years, but don't consider myself very good at it.

(My pet niche website with amazon affilaite brings in about 100 usd a year, and my health blog 1250 usd a year.)

I am, however, good at creating products. My books get rated 5/5 on major online retailers by customers. By moving to Clickbank I hope to be able to work with people who are better at driving actual sales.

The first items I'm moving to Clickbank are a set of 3 books, so there'll be upsells.

  • I'm thinking of a 29.95 price point per book, with a buy all 3 for 59.95.
  • Ill probably throw in 2 books for free, and 1 or 2 other extras.

Currently building own website:

green = finished,
orange = work in progress,
red = not yet started

  1. Set up website
    • salespage,
    • thank you page
    • affiliates page + marketing materials
    • privacy policy
    • disclaimer
    • home page
    • about us
    • contact
    • blog
  2. Set up Marketing Automation
    • sumo
    • mailchimp
  3. Social Media
    • Twitter
    • Instragram
    • Pinterest
    • Tumblr
    • Facebook Page
For social media automation I use followliker, on rather safe settings.

I'm doing his in my spare time. I also feel like I have no clue what I am doing, so any help, tips or insisghts are more than appreciate.

Cheers,

Saaseend

Will be very interesting to follow, have been doing affiliate marketing for years but has never been on the "other side"

Good luck with you journey

Cheers guys,

    • make e-mail marketing auto-responders
  3. Social Media

    • Tumblr
    • Facebook Page

Created all social media profiles, and put some posts on all accounts. Linked Instagram for crossposting to tumblr and facebook. Automation with followliker is now set up. Still working on the salespage, as I'm going for a long form sales page. I find it difficult to structure a sales page, so I basically copied one from a competitor that is doing very well. Learning about how to implement trust in a salespage made me recognize his is good. I'm now editing it for my own products.

Quick update. Just some minor work on the salespage, added the 2 upsells in clickbank, fixed some text on the silo main page and a bunch of other small stuff.

I started promoting my website with Meatheads method, already seeing some traffic through that.

To do list for this weekend:

  • Expand sales page - must price anchor as I heard "people" consider it too expensive. (People being my gf who has 0 interest nor experience in the niche, but still. Price anchoring is always good.)
  • More blog comments etc.- Meatheads method
  • Finish E-mail marketing mini course - I signed up for a competitor's email marketing course and am editing it. Pretty excited cause it looks bretty gewd.
  • Make a "total package" - combine 3 ebooks into 1, so clickbank can host it for me and people can buy all three books at once for a discount.
When will I start recruiting affilaites? When I feel like my sales page is converting well enough.

I'm always batttling between 1) its not good enough and 2) release product fast, adjust as you go. Meh.

More intradesting news: Before I switch completely to Clickbank, I saw a thread for Kindle rankings & promo' s for paid downloads. I just ordered that the smallest package for 1o of my ebooks. Keep yous updated aye.

Beside this social signal promotion, I recommend you to create some good quality backlinks for your targeted keywords so that you get organic traffic also.

Woah! quick update. I see 12 affiliates have already started promoting my offer and driving traffic to the sales page. Did not expect this - no sales as of yet

#1 priority is finishing the sales page today

No experience with that, I'm going to promote it through other channels and let backlinks build ...*gasp*... naturally. It worked for the guy who cloned dollar shave club, so it just might work for me. Can always focus on that later if it doesn't.

Updates:

Amazon Kindle

I've reformatted one of my ebooks and reordered a promotion thru a BHW services. That took me about a week, and I'm still unsure wether its gonna look good on older e-readers. fck it, release fast & adjust later. I'm expecting a 2k usd gross sales from this promo, and if it goes well.. i'll reformat my other books too.

Clickbank

My first excitement from the affiliates stated above was a bit too quick. They're using shitty promo methods, and I suspect a few of automatically posting new CB products.

Stats:

171 hops to from 33 affiliate so far, 21 order form impressions but no sales yet.

I have 3 affiliates that I think that might actually be on to something, as theyre sending the bulk of the traffic.

Working on some promo materials for my affiliates.

Well, first results from the Kindle promotion are in

Results

  • 413597 Kindle Edition Normalized Page reads = around 2000$ projected earnings
  • My book is #1 in three categories (very, very small niches but still)
  • Sales from my books other books are slghtly up (just by 1 or 2 extra per day)
  • Going to order this for my other books as well.

Impressive.

Impressive.

Yeah no. The service turned out to a fraud. Indian fucking scammers.

Anyway it has been over a year. I have upgraded the items on clickbank since, and launched 2 new ones past months. With 3 items at a 49.95 price point I am now making around $300 a month from CB. Honestly, I feel like CB is not keeping up with the times. No bundled item delivery, very restrictive sales page requirements.

Right now I'm making the majority of sales from print books through Amazon. Who would have thought, in 2018.

Well, I'm sorry about that. So all in all, being a ClickBank Vendor wasn't worth it?

Being a Clickbank vendor is worth it, but you have to have decent design skills/copywriting skills. I was working on wordpress with a theme builder theme before. I migrated to Shopify recently and love the apps (Sendowl for digital product delivery, CleverPPC for automated adwords, Kit for simplified facebook marketing, all the apps by Beeketing for social proof and urgency etc.).

Good luck on your Journey. Will be following this.

I am writing a book myself(for kindle). Do you have any tips for me, on how to get a 5/5 rating?

Oh... then that actually sounds great. I'll give being a Vendor a try next month, thanks for your great reply. :^)

#1 tip: write high quality content. Then ask your readers for reviews.

I saw a competitor score reviews well by giving away his book on Reddit and capturing leads with leadpages + then asking for a review.
