The problem is what you consider 'friendly banter' is neither friendly, nor banter for her. She took it personally and went berserk like you attacked her puppies. :)

I hardly went "berserk." That was one of my civil replies. I have said much, MUCH worse to people on this forum.

Native English Writers usually charge $2 and above per 100 words. But I would like to add just hiring a native English writer would not do any good for search engine. Give your effort on researching suitable niche and keywords that you want to rank your website for. Just a good, unique and informative content can rank your website. You can find good SEO writers who charges $1-$2 per 100 words.:):):)
