Instagram limit changes (May 2017)

Huy guys!

Have any of you experienced the same thing:

I've been following/unfollowing 1k users a day and it was ok. I've unfollowed after 3-4 days, so followings were around 3500-4000. I did the thing for about 5 different accounts (each with its own IP, mobile number, never got banned. They also engage well, getting 250-400followers per day, so I believe their "trustscore" is kinda high).

What I see now - is IG limiting followings to about 2000-2500, saying "You'are following too many.." just after. So I can follow only 500ppl per day, or I should decrease unfollowing time to 2 days.

The thing happens both in Massplanner and my own software.

Have they changed something? Have anyone faced the same problem?

Have you tried increasing the delay between two following actions? One day consist of 86,400 seconds. If you want to follow 1k people, you can set a random delay between 75 and 95 secs and you'll still be able to hit around 1k followings per day, if you don't want to the account to rest.

I'm not sure, if it solves your issue or not, but it's one thing you can try, if you haven't yet.

Yes I've splitted 86400/1000 and follow with this delay+-some minimal random. Same for unfollow. And doing this as long as I'm doing massfolows, so this wont help here.

Checked with some other guys - now no one can have more than 2500-3000 followings. If you try to add new user - you get "you are following too many" error.
May be it depends on account (e.g. age, trust, followers etc.)

Can anyone approve it? Can you add new followings when you have 3k already?

only one of my accounts have a similar problem. I'm also following around 800-1k a day, but since yesterday one account isn't able to follow with about 6k followers, the other 6 accounts with 6k followers don't have this problem.

O.p you probably are following a lot of private users and have pending requests, the limit is still 7.5k (I tested it) just let the unfollow tool run for a week and your following should get to zero so u can follow 7.5k again. That's the only logical explanation to this. I can still do 800 f/u a day

Great idea, I'll check it (would take some time). Though what about other accounts? They don't get an error, but damn, all of them now got 2k of followers instead of 4, with no visible reason.

How long does it take for a follow request to expire? What if they don't expire can you have your quote locked up in non responsive accounts?

I don't think the algorithm for following has changed, just checked and it went to 4K

It doesn't expire sadly , not in a month (didnt wait for longer) , It expires when users blocks you

And it's probably a signal for IG to ghost you, too many unattended requests probably generate a penalty of some kind.

nope never got an account ghosted idk wtf is this fuss about shadow ban. Well to be honest i've never got a scenario like o.p , i've got setting tweaked to keep this from happening. But as far as i think, it shouldn't be an issue (in eyes of ig) as it happens to normal users all the time , but a 4k following and 3.5k requests pending definitely isn't normal

Based on these numbers what do you suggest should be the break time. Meaning I unfollow or follow 1 person between 75 and 95 secs. Then after what...... 26 follows and unfollows take a 10 min break?

To keep IG off the ban hammer? Please advise.
