Youtube has been a proper pleb of late. I uploaded a video with a view to white hat it and the auto sweeper (whats it called, the auto thingio, you know?). Picked up on a piece of music I had mixed with the video. It was music that I had permission to use, it was Mozart and it was recorded by a friend, but youtube's tetchy sweeper said it was owned by someone else. What's funny is that the video was uploaded twice and each different video pointed to different artists on Itunes. Idiotic. Now it appears my account has been 'flagged' and now it takes ages to monetise videos. Are there any pointers fellow BHW's can offer me with regards to the auto sweeper system at all? Has anyone else had experience with problems like this? One of the video's I had made recently also got denied Monetisation and it had no copyrighted material in it. However, it got denied for Monetisation, the only thing I can summise that stopped it was that there was a short cartoon of mickey mouse in it. Aside of that, I had a track in it which was used with permission. I didn't know that Youtube had also implemented a visual sweeper. So I took out the cartoon and now I am uploading, here's hoping it passes. I do wonder though, if it was just youtube denying monetisation, just because it can and forcing me to provide evidence to the contrary. Any thoughts?
