Youtube without being on camera

My buddy goes on camera all the time with an oversized pair of sunglasses... nobody recognizes him in public.. cuz most of these guys don't get that famous anyways!

you can make an gif character and get your voice over to make a simple videos and upload them on youtube, its greate method to monetize yr voice.
 
You could shoot your videos in stop-motion style (with objects) and with a voice over. It would take a lot of work, and you would have to be creative, but if done well it would offer something very unique.

For Mac, istopmotion is great for putting together the frames.
 
check out UCA. an agency that manages hundreds and hundred of content creators through a network of youtube channels. it's united creative artists media group i think. they do movies and tv shows too. my friend was intern and took me to the production studio
 
Outsource is the best option to make videos, but if you don't want to spend $$$, then choose any face or animated gif instead of your face.

There are some softwares that can do as per your requirement.
 
The guy who does HowToBasic is never on camera, even if he is a very different niche.

Look, quality outshines everything. So as long as you hustle your ass off in promotion and don't phone anything in, there's no reason you can't break into the community.
 
I have seen many people do video's on YouTube who don't actually appear themselves in the video's but have interesting animation and their reviews are interesting and they are successful. I would say as long as your video's are successful then I don't see any reason you should need to appear if you want to keep somewhat anonymous.

In my opinion it can definitely be done with video, voice over and graphics.

I would recommend to hire a video expert to help you get on the right track. After that you'll be able to do everything yourself.
 
Yes of course you can outsource everything but if you are planning to make an authority channel, I would recommend to appear on video. :)

to answer to OP:
you just need to be creative how to hide your face even digitally, with a mask or any other smart way you can think of, don't wear anything which can lead to you and hide your specific features if there's any, so you'll be remembered the review guy who never shows his face and not just a guy, who does reviews, i believe you can easily turn this into your advantage, just think about the super heroes who never show their faces to the masses, the mystery can be a selling point in itself, if it's done right, you can also alter your voice digitally, so you can be on camera without the fear of getting recognized
