Youtube will fail

If youtube is failing, I'm sure LOTS OF PEOPLE would love to 'fail' the same way.

The bottomline: It's algorithm has evolved to its current state to a) maximize its revenues while b) reducing fraud/stats manipulation

Is it perfect? Of course not. But it's definitely gone a long way to create a WIN WIN situation for both viewers and content creators.

It's all about VIEW RETENTION TIME.

YT pushes videos that have a higher viewer retention time on a PERCENTAGE BASIS

I've posted on here screenshots of HIGH LIKES and HEAVY COMMENTS on vids trying to boost views.... Neither worked!

The younger generation has no patience, for this reason all those who use short format will be in trend for a long time

There's so much money being made on Youtube that it won't ever go away. Youtube will adapt to whatever the current trend is and will change their algorithm to keep the most users on the site.

Of course there's people who won't like what YouTube has become, but the majority of people either do like it or isn't bothered by it.

There are still niches on YouTube with little or no content creators. Important thing is to find these niches that don't come to light and get into them. YouTube is a real passive income if you don't spam William.

No, I don't think so. I still spend some hours on Youtube to watch silly video :)
 
As long as Youtube pays well their content creators, then they will still be a major player.
 
I think it will get bigger since my adblocker doesn't work anymore on youtube.. now I subscribe to their youtube premium. LOL.
 
YouTube is no longer a website for sharing cat videos, in some quarters, it is called the YouTube University due to its sheer wealth of knowledge, It is a repository richer than most of the universities of the world.

Failing is not in the foreseeable future,

I'm confused as to why you quoted me. Your post had nothing to do with my post. Its not as though I said anything to the contrary of what you said. I was implying that YouTube is going nowhere and that everyone uses it. So not sure what you are talking about regarding low competition niches or spamming? I'm fully aware of YouTube earning potential lol, not sure what I said that you think I spam or needed to mention me by name?

If you are referring to me saying they control the search that was regarding other companies trying to grow video sharing sites, not people on YouTube sharing content in different niches. I meant a company trying to create a competitor to YouTube, not content creators on YouTube.

Not for the reasons you listed.

If you are sticking around to watch a 60-minute video that is a waste of time just because of a catchy title, then you are the problem - not YouTube.

People watch long-form videos because they want to watch it.

The problem that YouTube has is hosting and serving all that content is expensive. And with AI the amount of content is probably growing exponentially. How can they afford that?

They are experimenting a lot with short videos. Tiktok leads there and it is hard to beat them now.
 
I totally agree with you, long & qualitative content are becoming more and more rare
 
Currently averaging about 18 - 24 million monthly views on long form content, I somehow don't think YouTube is going anywhere
