If youtube is failing, I'm sure LOTS OF PEOPLE would love to 'fail' the same way.
The bottomline: It's algorithm has evolved to its current state to a) maximize its revenues while b) reducing fraud/stats manipulation
Is it perfect? Of course not. But it's definitely gone a long way to create a WIN WIN situation for both viewers and content creators.
