Hi, I am in a hole. I have a YouTube video I would like to see ranked for my keyword phrase. I have done my title, tags and description to the bone. But it is not climbing, it still sits all the way at the back of the bus. Does anyone have any experience in this and might be able to offer some advice?

Do these views actually hep you climb to the top? Do they give you that extra push? and how does YouTube exactly feel about generating YouTube views?
 
You will need some views before getting ranked. You can use u2bviews, vagex for getting the start up views.

I like you offer, but I think it is a bit high. But can you explain how they help. How does this s.youtube counter work and how does it actually benefit your video?

You need a lot more than just on-page video optimization.
Views, comments, likes, subscribes and favorites can do a lot. Just add them wisely and don't forget about views time - i'd suggest you vagex for that.

when your views increase doesn't your video boosts up?? yes it does. Vagex gives you views and as the views increase people start liking and commenting on your link which can definitely boost up your video as well.
 
Well it is not so much about the views. I am more interested in how YouTube SEO works and how views help you climb to the top. Also what are some other ways to promote your YouTube video?

YT takes many factors into consideration before your video can go up in rank.

Although you have a good start up (title, tags and description) you have to see your "competitors" - see what they are doing to be on the first page. Also it is not a matter of dumping views and forget about it.

Though a lot of views do bring more attention to your videos, you have to keep in mind that Video Ratings (likes, comments, backlinks, favorites) are a must.

If you aren't getting views or ratings there is no reason for YT to rank your videos period. It is simple as that, views help you rank in that sense because if there is no traffic coming in then why should you be rewarded?

There are many websites that offer free views (view exchange sites) that you should try and learn... it takes trial and error before you start seeing some results :)

Thank you so much skittles. Some good advice. I keep on plugging away, but it is not so easy.
 
You need views likes and favourites to get your video rank for keywords. I use vagex to rank my videos.
If you want to rank on google search get social bookmarks for your video. Will help a lot.
 
Such services are mostly useless because after a week or two youtube will delete your video due to the non stop spamming on it.
