YouTube Videos Loading Slow?

When I upload a video into youtube it is SUPER slow these days.

I am trying to upload a .avi and never had a problem in the past.

Is this common and is there something that a non-technical person
like myself can do to make things quicker?

I meant, maybe YouTube is having some big load on their servers, and is slow ... or perhaps you've used too much bandwidth (if you don't have unlimited, you might get capped)
 
I see... could be on their end... I never would have thought that they would have issues like that.

I don't know that I have unlimited or not as they say "Congratulations! Your account is now enabled for uploads longer than 15 minutes."

I guess it is easy to tell I'm not well versed in Youtube.

I've had similar problems in the past, excessive load time, loaded but not processed. Recently not had issues but I've definately had fluctuations in loading times from seconds to an hour before now.

It must be on their end

I've had some issues a lot lately also.. What I would do is use the uploader that restricts java.. If you just google "youtube uploader restrict java" you'll find it.. I'd post the link, but I haven't had enough posts yet.. It seems to work everytime now, and it also allows for uploads to restart if they are stopped for some reason.
 
Did you try to do their advanced upload or their simple upload?

They might think I am running some kind of racquet if I had an additional internet service... I have DSL and cable now.
 
try this for the advanced uploader... sometimes that goes faster for me.
