Has anyone compared them? Which is more attractive to visitors and better suited for driving website traffic: long videos or short videos on YouTube? Which should be prioritized to bring more traffic to the website?

Value can’t be defined to a certain time frame. Give value and people will check the website for more. If you’re posting garbage 60 sec videos (or any length for that matter) just for traffic then you are going to be sorely disappointed.

as for generating website traffic i think it is best to rely on long form videos. while shorts will be able to attract many views not all of them are willing to click external links. however, an informative long form video will manage to generate enough interest to prompt users to open the webssite.

YouTube Shorts videos are the most popular, and they quickly drive traffic. People are most attractive on shorts.

Long videos are better for building trust and getting meaningful clicks, while shorts are great for reaching more people. I'd use both, with shorts bringing viewers in and longer videos encouraging them to visit the site.

To drive traffic to my website, I will use long form videos because there is more space for context and call-to-actions here. Short form videos are ideal for gaining reach and discvery first and then redirecting traffic to long form videos.

Long videos are better for bringing traffic to a website because viewers are more engaged and have more time to click links. Shorts are better for getting views and attracting new people.
So I’d prioritize long videos, and use Shorts to bring additional reach.

People usually opt for short videos because they are easy to create and attract a large audience; however, if a long-form video is engaging enough to captivate viewers, it is worth incorporating some longer videos as well.
