Hey ! You're not the first person to ask this question today. Guys wrote something about AI videos in Youtube
 
It's speculation, it's rare for Google to announce updates to its algorithm but maybe they will release an update soon due to AI
 
Is this regarding people creating AI-generated videos and basically having a Channel full of them?

As I'm also seeing even large accounts not grow as much over the last 1-2 days vs their average daily growth.

I also heard of something to do with non-verified channels being removed?

Major changes usually get announced on the Creator Insider channel or their official blog well in advance
It's best to wait for official confirmation before reacting to any such updates. Often, these rumors cause unnecessary panic. My so, please stick to official sources. Have you seen any specific details about what this rumored update is supposed to be?

Is this why so many channels are losing subscribers / not gaining as many?

As it would be an explanation if there's been a mass ban.
 
I also heard the news of the restriction on monetization against artificial intelligence. Its end is inevitable.
