Youtube unlisted method - does it still work?

It has been around for many years, is any of you still using it? Is it still an effective way to rank your videos?
I am about to publish my first YT video with fake views but I am not sure if I should use this method or not. (It will be linked to a CPA offer)
What do you guys think?

It was the greatest and easiest method ever lol, to have a youtube video ranked #1 in few hours, using Hitleap or iMacros bots lol.

I think it's dead but if it works let me know, test with some high retention views.
