Youtube shorts problem

I'm currently experimenting with YouTube shorts with my method, NO SMM, this is external traffic from real users. Averaging 3-6k views in 24hr's everyday, but I'm not seeing traffic from YouTube shorts, even with the hastag in description, what's happening? My video is 1080x1920 normal resolution.

How many days ago did you post it? It might take few days or a week to start getting views from short source

That particular video was over One week ago. Still uploading but can't see shorts traffic
 
Anybody know why I can't see shorts traffic up to now? Started 1 week ago

Mostly it get picked in a week, else remove the video and reupload again
did you boosted the video with any external source?
 
i also tried shorts and never got any views. other people i saw got tons of views and subs. i assume there are several factors. you need a catchy title and have luck that the auto generated thumbnail looks interesting. otherwise i have no idea how shorts get suggested to people. randomly or by keywords, description...?
 
weird even i tried shorts and one video on totally new channel got 300+ views in 8 hrs and 11 likes. And uploaded 2 other videos, got 0 views.

If you add KWs related to your video in description and tags tab, you will be suggested to audience interested in such content on the homepage shelf but if you don't use any KWs you will be suggested randomly. You will see the traffic source as shorts in your analytics

I uploaded around 3-4videos a day, only one got picked up..now it seems like 30 of my videos didnt get picked up by youtube shorts, i already uplaoded around 100videos+ and only 20% got picked up so far, but now i literally get 0 videos into shorts for a whole week already, dunno what happened or changed, also a bunch of bots seem to subscribe to my channel, which disrupts my whole channel..because they wont watch any videos other that specific one..which sucks..i get like 100 subs a day and lose 70 because they either get banned completely (checked their youtubes with different browser after a day) or they just get reported as spam.
So if you really want to get into youtube, try to pushout as many videos as you can, i'm gonna push 8 videos now a day to see if i can get back into shorts. Also timing is very important i would upload it 2am gmt+1 or 0am gmt+1 if you want american traffic and sometimes it takes up to 5 days to get into shorts, i just don't understand why i didnt get in for a whole week now..
Also if you just post one video a week..why should they put you into shorts?
It's like tiktok, if you dont put out 3-5videos a day on tiktok, they won't give you much traffic, even the best tiktokers put out 3 videos at least everyday!

False, it's the opposite.
Why they should push you if you publish a lot of crap every day? i would see it as spam.
I had the best shorts posted once every few days ( millions). Instead very little traffic for the ones that i published every single day.

This makes alot of sense. I'm questioning if posting one video a day is still too much. Like you say maybe every few days is the strat. My first short two days ago got no views, the one I uploaded yesterday got 500. All you can really do is test,test,test. Though I must admit its kind of fun!
 
Nowadays it's all about user-engagement signals if you want to rank on keywords that people are searching for. If viewers go back to search after 10 seconds, YouTube knows your content was irrelevant or bad quality - no matter how many views or engagement you get from other sources.

Not really sure what you mean by "not seeing traffic from shorts"? To your website, or? Well, they are "shorts". In our experience, the typical user behaviour with this feature at the moment typically only spends 10-30 seconds watching it, and move on to the next, most don't have any call to action.

Would still prefer ranking valuable videos on keywords people are searching for. If you rank on a keyword with 5K/mo. searches, your videos continues growing every single month with targeted, organic and free traffic that helps you drive sales, link to your website, earn ad revenue etc..
