Youtube shorts performance with links in comments

Has anyone noticed that having a link in your shorts comment section or even hidden in your video kills your youtube shorts performance? I dont know if its just a coincidence for me, so id like to hear what you guys experienced.

The same thing happened to me. I didn't get too much success in shorts with link.
 
I was just watching on youtube and I also saw shorts with links in the comments that have 200-1500 views but the accounts I see are 6-12 months old...
 
Im getting 1k views with cpa link in comments in a new channel, but engaging videos that get likes and comments

to be 100% sure you can blend small dot lines on the top of the link watermark so the algorithm can see it and see how it goes

I had no experience in putting links on YouTube or in shorts. I've seen a couple there, but mostly they're links to 18+ sites and don't make any sense to the content I usually view. In particular, they do not get that many views, but due to the amount of targeted advertising, they still have views. So I wish you great success!

Ya same. This concept is also applying to youtube videos in general. Roblox content without link advertisement performs well, while its counterpart does not.
 
it's depend of ctr and retention mate, here is secret details, when ı was try if thubnail good, and if video get this metrics %80 will be topic. You can be sure about that.
 
Youtube don't rank video have link out. Because they want to user watch more and more on Youtube.
 
I also haven't had much success with YouTube shorts. Maybe they have some mechanism that hides videos with links in the comments?
 
Possibly there is a new youtube shorts update. The last time i was browsing on Youtube Shorts, there are lots of promoting 18+ content video spamming then when you open the comment, their comment post are like published a few minutes ago. I don't know if they added it automatically if they have their shorts video views or just spam the hell out of it.
