They do engage with long videos...bur they are usually in a haste to watch another video. So, make your videos interesting

yeah i started shorts months and months ago, gained millions of views/video and made 20x my initial subscribers ( only thanks to shorts). Ridicolous/zero results on watch hours on other longer videos.
