Is YouTube shadow ban a real thing?

I have heard they can shadow ban an ip, not just channel, meaning no matter what channel you run in that ip, it wont grow ( if they shadow ban you once for violating rules)

But do you know any way to find out you are really shadowban?
Someone said you can try to search for your channel name in youtube (incognito) if the channel or videos don’t show up, then the channel is shadowbanned.

No there is no such a thing.

With that being said: I believe Youtube AI machine removes your videos for the same niche faster once you get caught once.

What if the ip is changed?

As per what YouTube officially claims, is that they do not shadowban any channels or videos. But, the reality is that yes, they do shadowban. If you feel or observe that your YouTube channel, YouTube activities are impacted by a shadowban, then perform no activities in it for 14 days and if you are lucky, then the ban gets removed automatically.

Every major social media platform uses shadowban. It's their way of not nuking their users but at the same time mitigating risks of spammers. The only solution is to wait it out.

I dont believe in shadowban. Just that youtube not think your content good enough to show to people. Also youtube more competition some channel now need lot of time also if content is good. Dont think shadowban exist

Use different IP or ask your internet provider for a new IP. It is not true that if Youtube bans you once, they will ban you forever from that same ip. There are tons of rules so you might not follow all of them.

It is real and painful. I am the living example.

I deleted several videos with over 2M views in total a few years ago. My channel never recovered.

Yes, it's not limited to youtube
Instagram and Twitter do the same thing

same quality video has 80 percent reduced impression

Yes, however I think it's more of shadow-pushing-down than shadowbanning. I've seen this happen to an edgy politician, who has great audience. Searching for their videos, by exact title, would render their video on 10+ position
