Youtube Shadowban does not exist

Hi BHW fam,

So I am abit confused about the whole youtube shadowban and wanted some more opinions on the topic. So I have been reading on bhw about shadow etc. I recently had a large decrease in views and subs so I thought maybe I was shadow banned for trying to promote a CPA offer.
I contacted youtube support and told them my situation and also asked, is youtube shadow ban a real thing? and this is her exact reply:

"There's no such thing as shadow ban in YouTube. It may not seem like it, especially that you noticed a decrease in view count, but we hope for everyone's success here in YouTube."

So my question is, is it legit? and if yes why are they hiding it?

I’m not experienced with YouTube but I wouldn’t expect the support to know how their algorithms work.

Maybe it’s simply not a hard „shadowbanned“ flag and just their algo pushing your content less which results in less visibility? Hell I wouldn’t even expect any engineer there to be able to explain their ranking and suggested content 100%, probably a lot of moving pieces and machine learning involved
 
Shadowbanning is everywhere.. TikTok, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, you name it... Be it for botting, abuse or any other reason.. It's just that they don't want to tell you straight away that it's happening. In your case, it might not actually be a shadowban but rather a possible change in the algorithm or how YouTube sees your videos. Maybe at this time, you're not being pushed as much as you were before hence why the drop in views. Give it couple of weeks and see how things stand.

that's false, shadowbans do exist and there is a large amount of anecdotal evidence and scenario specific cases where it becomes obvious.

it definitely exists, I've experiences it as well. Of course they won't admit to it, but I could put my left arm in the fire that it's there.

I'm not sure what triggers it, but the algorithm has some kind of trigger that makes it shadowban certain videos/channels.
 
I think a lot of bloggers are approaching the issue of traffic and "shadow bans" from the wrong angle. They come from an infantile view of the world that their posts or YouTube videos must necessarily get traffic and lots of it. And when that traffic isn't there, they try to find someone to blame.

In cases where a blogger had a lot of views and then has little - it's possible that these views were random, and in fact his content doesn't deserve the number of views he was getting. And the algorithms sooner or later returned his content to the level it deserved.
 
There's shadowban on YouTube. I have experienced it many times in different niches and with different channels.
 
Shadow ban evolved by the time. YouTube algo got smart enough to differentiate geniune videos and recycled videos. No wonder, they got millions of hours videos train the AI.

What did you do with the shadow banned channels? You moved on to another channel or is there a way to lift the ban?

Shadow bans last like a week to a month max from what I know so just let the account rest a bit and then continue
 
In general, shadowbanning refers to blocking a user's social media content in such a way that they are unaware that it's happening. So, if you get shadowbanned on Youtube, chances are you won't even know you've been hit. Your content will not appear in anyone's Instagram feeds unless they follow your profile
 
Google EEAT + Youtube censorship, please be aware people !

YT has made contract/ agreement with WHO to fight health/medical/ covis misinformations.
But this will go deeper, with this yt can and will shutdown videos and channels about health (supplements,etc,etc..) medical and covid misinformations.
And it goes line in line with the big G- EEAT rule, that means they will shutdown any website or videos/ channels about these topics when you can not deliver proof of science or with the EEAT rule, when you are not a medical, doc, psychotherapist,

This WHO agreement has far-reaching consequences,then you can think....

But for the youtube and google wef friends, it doesn't affect them, they can then dominate these niches, they have money to commission doctors or expert journalists to write about these topics

So please be awake dear BHW people and when you are in such a niche (health, nutritions...) please always have a plan B in mind !
And I see these big companies dominating more and more to narrow down, means they dominate more and more subniches.

Yes I agree with this but it is not true in my case, my video where getting millions of views on all social media including yt, and immediately when I promoted the cpa offer the next video could not even hit 100-200 but they all continue to get millions on the other platforms where I have not been "shadow banned" but I definitely agree with what you said in general.
