YouTube?s Partner Program, previously opened only to producers of very popular content, is now open to all content creators from the 20 countries where the program is available. To become a YouTube Partner, you need to enable your YouTube account and successfully monetize at least one of your videos.
YouTube?s guidelines for successful monetization are here, but in a nutshell, your best bet is to create original content while owning all the rights to commercially use all the visuals and audio in your video.

YouTube Partner program is currently available to everyone in these countries: Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, Colombia, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Ireland, Israel, Japan, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Poland, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, United Kingdom and the United States.

Newcomers to the program won?t immediately enjoy all the perks popular content creators have, such as custom thumbnails and banners. ?We are working on making these and other features available to more newly-made partners over time,? says YouTube.

What are your impression on this BHWers? Youtube lacking impressions? Or something else?

hmmmm... it works I just enabled monetisation on a new account. Super easy. But with all these new users being able to monetise will there be enough adverts for people to make money from?

Yeah I just got a email today from youtube on one of my "ready to monetize" accounts that I'm eligible for partnership if I monetize only one of my vids. This makes making partner accounts way more easier!

theres a good and bad side of this:

Good Side: you can now earn a lot more money from youtube and you will eventually get all the good features such as custom thumbnails and banners which would in turn get you allot more traffic

Bad Side:there will be a C**Pload of noobs who are partners so being a partner wont be as prestigious as it used to be

*Just my two cents on the topic!*

I'm not worried because the noobs will come in do stupid stuff and get band. The problem I see is that when they get banned they will go looking for ways to get another account which may lead them here. This then leads to a decrease in forum quality but an increase in traffic so who knows how the MODS will react. But another plus is that the demand for views, likes and comments will skyrocket. So start your arbitrage schemes now so we can feed off the noobness. :scool:

Well said bro :)(no sarcasm)

Yeah this makes it a heck of a lot easier to get a following. The features they offer for partners can really help with the video promotion.

You'd be surprised, to become a partner you need an already established following, they really don't help you get a bigger following...

On another note, I'll be so pissed off if they go through with this.

Arrgh! It's still unavailable in my country, though I would be very happy if the program was available in more countries.

This is the worst thing to happen since when youtube created the Individual Partnership Program.

If you aren't a network (and I mean OWN IT), or an advertiser, then you should be fucking outraged.

[I'm not going to explain why, if you can't do simple math then I can't help]

Actually it appears they are calling anyone with a monetized video "Partners" .. the problem is that these new partners are not getting the option for the branding features. It is unclear at this point how to obtain those features and when they will be available.

How can I opt in? I'm already monetizing videos. I'm a "partner" already? Jeez partnership used to mean something ;/ this is like Blizzard nerfing WoW all the time.

Yeah anyone with a monetized video is now a partner. But you dont get the partner branding options. Sucks. A lot of people over at the Youtube blog are pissed. http://youtubecreator.blogspot.com/2012/04/being-youtube-creator-just-got-even.html

[Update] We're excited to provide more creators with the opportunity to become partners and have access to programs and resources to help them be successful on YouTube. These programs will be tailored to partners based on their specific needs. We also recognize that custom thumbnails and banners are sought-after features by many creators. We are working on making these and other features available to more newly-made partners over time, like we have done with long uploads and monetization.

I didn't know that who ever talking about noobs are born experts in what ever they doing , don't you all think a noob was once you when you started IM

Regarding getting banned and stuffs that's what a noob so experiment and experiment until they succeed yes the form will get more traffic but this form is for information purpose for learning new stuff not for like experts only

Mods i am sorry if i said anything wrong i just sharing my opinion and i know my English is bad so apoligee for that as well
