Youtube On page optimization.

I know there are a some threads about on page for Youtube, but I want to take that information and test it and figure out what works and what not and I want you guys to help(later more on this) so we can learn together.
Well lets start with a brief of what I learned from the threads I have read.

Title
-This one is obvious put your keyword in the title some say you have to put your keyword in the
beginning of your title and some say it doesn?t matter where you put your keyword.
(I am going to test this, later more on this)


Description
- Of course start with putting your link or your keyword something like this.
keyword http://www.youtlinkhere.com or http://www.yourlinkhere.com keyword.
- I have read that an article(400 words) about the keyword helps
- An outgoing link to a authority webiste like wikipedia.

Tags
- Put your keyword in the tags and some other keyword that are related tot hat keyword.
Example: blue widget is your keyword put also in the tags red widget and orange widget you get the
point.
- If your keyword is ? blue widget? add tags as ?free blue widget? or ?Blue widget scam?.​



Tips
- Put the tags of your competiter in your tags you will appear on the rightside of his video or
after his video is finished.
- When uploading your video. name your video to your keyword(keyword.mov)
- Also put your keyword when uploading your profile picture(keyword.jpg)​

That is it I am going to bed now when I log in tomorrow I'll gather the ideas (if there are some) and I am going to test them.

And another thing as you can see and read my English and threads making skills are not the best
so please be patient with me(and if you can't help it please correct all my mistakes so I can learn).

This is a nice tutorial for newbies and should be read before any questions asked in this section. Must have definitely for any beginner on YT marketing.
 
For every test I made 2 videos each one are exactly the same the only thing that are different is the thing that I am testing. This is the first test after 1 week I'll check if something changed and I will report back.
I am going to test this again but with 3 videos and see if I get the same outcome.
I will create 1 video fort the the one that is ranking now #1. And 2 videos for the one that is ranking #2. Just to check if the one that is ranking #1 still will rank #1.
After that I am going to test all of this again but with very easy keywords instead of BS keywords.
If somebody has something in mind that I should test, please speek now or forver hold your peace.(lol :p) .
I'll just show you the results and after I am done testing I'll make conclusions.

The Keyword stuffed one used to rank #1 but the normal optimized page outranked the stuffed video. But what is interesting to see here is that one of the other video ranked for this keyword also

As I said this is just one of the first test there is a lot to improve to draw a real conclusion I made some notes and people that see something that should be improved just say it (even if it is crazy as hell) and I will take that to the next test

Thank you for this! I am currently doing on page optimization for my youtube video. I hope you continue your second test.
 
What up, This is TEST 2.0 I am just going to post the results. And then in a week I will post and update and I will compare test 1.0 with 2.0 and see if it is the same and what I can do better. Then I will start with test 3.0 (Real and low keywords)

Some videos that I made got marked as duplicate in google that didn't happen.
I am going to see what the problem is and look for a way to make it look unique.
And I will report back on that.

Just a tip that might come in handy for some people. If you want to check your competitors tags, just click right mouse button and look at the source. Use ALT+f to find the word (keywords). You will find something like this:

Just a tip that might come in handy for some people. If you want to check your competitors tags, just click right mouse button and look at the source. Use ALT+f to find the word (keywords). You will find something like this:

Whats up guys, took some time before I did an update on this one but that was because I was trying to figure out how to make a video look unique so I don?t get omitted.
If you want to know what I am talking about this guy explains it.

The only thing he says is that you can?t recover from that ?penalty? which is not true I recovered them. Some videos of this test where omitted and I recovered them I will tell you what I did but it will not work for real keywords.

for real keywords you need to change much more.
I also learned another thing while testing and that will help me when I am going find out how to crack the omitted mystery. And that is that if you edit a youtube video the title for example. Within 5 minutes it will be updated in google serps.

I recovered one video from the ?omitted monster? (real keyword) by changing the likes on the video from show the like to don?t show the likes. As I said it will take a lot of testing before I?ll have the formula.

BTW the 10 tag video was also omitted I recovered it and it is ranking #1 now.
this is what I did:
First I changed the thumbs up thing but nothing happened.
Then I changed the title and still nothing.
after that I changed the description (added 2 words just to make it appear unique).
and it helped.

It is now shown but then I tried to get back into omitted results by changing the title back and the description by what it was. But it didn?t get back but no I see that I forgot to change the thumbs up and down thing back maybe that is why it is still shown.
I am going to try that and I?ll report back later if necessary

first they were ranking in order from 10 min to 30 sec.
but something funny happened 2 videos disappeared the 5 min and the 30 sec maybe because I made 4 videos exactly the same from just 2 accounts I should have used 4 accounts I will do that in the next test.
But 10 min is ranking #1 and 1 min is ranking second

I was trying to figure out the omitted thingy but still no good news.
I'll check if something changed on the tests and then I'll start 3.0.

keep it simple..this is the most important thing...put only the most important words in the title without hyphens/dashes..DESCRIPTION is the thing which counts most when it comes to showing ur videos in the search results..add some unique words/ur channel name?auto-subscribe url in the description so that in the recommended list at least some of ur vids show up. In descriptions if t's gaming content add lots of cool fresh names of games no matter what ur content is. and do KEYWORD Research in analytics..always use the Words/keywords in the description and tags which have brought u the highest no. of referrals/views; you would find in the analytics. And include all the keywords which the analytics would list b4 u as the topmost or most frequently searched words on youtube helping viewers to discover ur video. My channel /Only1indrajit..u can visit anytime u want
 
This is a great post. A lot of YouTubers think that all it takes to rank a video is views. On page optimization plays a big part too.
 
Long time with no update, I still find this the best topic to follow, when creating YT videos. Not too much sample on my side, but it really seems to work. How are the tests going rettaibi? Any new interesting findings? Would love to hear others experience, who are following these tests, too.
