For now, all you have to do is wait. Hope you get approved quickly and make a lot of money! Good luck, bro.

Best regards.

Yaya still waiting... Max it ownt get approved because of all are watch hours I brought

I have a channel that could not get for 5 months and no answers even the bad one. :(. Some guys taking in 1 week. It's a bit luck i think
5 months is a very long time. Is it still in review now or did this happen a while ago? If you are still stuck in monetization:

As per the new guidelines, you need 4K watch hours on PUBLIC videos. If you deleted or privated a bunch of videos double check to make sure you are still eligible for monetization otherwise you won't be reviewed.

Other then that, you can try contacting YouTube via the Help and Feedback feature where you can submit a screenshot of your monetization page with a kind message explaining that you've passed the threshold for YPP review, your content complys with all YPP policies but you think there has been a glitch or something as you haven't received a reply after a significant amount of time passing and your friends who make the same kind of videos who applyed after you have already been approved. There are a number of reports on Google and YouTube of people getting reviewed within days of submitting this kind of request this way after waiting for months.

If that doesn't speed thing up then there's nothing that can be done I'm afraid. Pretty rediculious system but that's what happens when they've gotta manually review content for an insane number of channels. Hopefully once they get the whole application review system automated monetization can be an instant feature again for those who pass the minimum threshold.

If your channel has enough content. That's usually approved. You can try again to apply for consideration

i have a channel still in review for six months, but I'm used to it,just keep updating channel.
i know a guy still in review for six months too,his channel have 32k subscribers and enough watch hours ,my channel only have 1.5k.
Good luck,bro

I had two clients this week get approved within three business days. For most of this year it has been pretty quick like that from my perspective, maybe a week sometimes.

My theory is that if you aren't approved right away then the first reviewer on the channel essentially flagged the channel and sent it to a second team that reviews the more grey area channels, like if they suspect bots, duplicate content, stolen content, grey area adult content, etc. Or even if the channel triggered any number of Google's automated flags that would force a higher end specialist to review.

And the second team review is where it starts to take forever...
