So YouTube automatically give the user the option to share a video immediately after the video ends (it automatically goes to the share tab and erases the description)... This will definitely hurt conversions. Is there anyway around this??? I was going to edit my video to make it longer and add a slide with a strong CTA....

Tried to add a screenshot but got an error!!

Yeah, I noticed this as well when I tried to read the descriptions on random vids I was curious about. Didn't think about how this would affect IMers because I've never focused on Youtube, but you're right, this seems like a major pain.

It's a good move on their part though...they manage to strike a blow against IMers while encouraging people to invite others to their site. Well played, I say. Adapt or die.

Just type in videos :

Any advice on adapting other than.... making the video longer???

The only way you're going to find out is by trying them out.
As different methods produce different results depending on video, niche and goal you are trying to achieve.
You can try using annotations.
In-video Advertisement (Instead of using what you use at the end, bring it where your video gets most interesting.)
