Hi guys, I was wondering will high authority links pr5-7 help rank my youtube video in google and youtube? Any responses would be appreciated!

It should definately help. In fact as per my experience youtube videos can rank good with even a tiny amount of backlinks but what's must is the good amount of social signals like gplus, fb shares , they do wonders.
So along witht hsoe Backlinks try to add some social singnals too

The ranking in google "organic"(if there's such a thing anymore) will probably be affected by links. The ranking in youtube itself is more socially driven by likes, shares, etc.

Google is a more complicated science. On one hand, they overlook the more spammy backlinks pointing at a YouTube video and rank it anyway.
Whether they rank a video that has 20 high PR links over one with 2000 social bookmarks, I'm still not clear about, despite my testing.
Thoughts?
