Does anyone here know anything about YouTube? I have two new anime channels, each with 5 videos, but neither of them are getting any views. The titles and subtitles are fine, but I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I already had another new channel that took off really quickly, so I don't understand what's going on now. Can anyone help me understand this algorithm? Is there a technique to avoid this?

First of all, search your niche and filter content:
Daily
Weekly
Monthly
See what content popup and what people generally love.
What YouTube already show upon this filters, is what audience loves, even if you don't understand why.
Watch these videos, and come up with a nice short content of max 2-3min where you showcase some interesting scene.
Make multiple videos following this pattern, and something has to rank, and pick up viewers.
If needed, duplicate their thumbnails and everything, it won't hurt your channel. You can do it.

YouTube algorithm is a tricky beast and it's constantly evolving. Honestly having just five videos per channel is a very small sample size. It takes time for the algorithm to understand what your content is about and who to show it to. Also the initial success of your first channel might be due to a number of factors maybe a trend you caught or just plain luck. Instead of focusing solely on the algorithm consider promoting your videos on social media anime forums or even reaching out to other anime YouTubers for collaborations. Think about engaging with your potential audience outside of YouTube too. Building a community takes time and consistent effort.

Just with 5 videos, do not expect anything big. You have to consistently upload videos for few months before you start getting views.

Effect of aged channel might not be good always. It depends on the history of that channel also.

I went through the exact same thing — my first channel grew really fast, but the next ones got barely any views even though the content was pretty similar. Later, I realized that YouTube's algorithm doesn't really favor new channels if the first few videos don't retain viewers well
