Recently I have received two such warning saying that my video has been age restricted and not everyone can see those videos.

Now, I have already set my audience preference as "No, It's not made for kids" as default option. So, why Is youtube age restricting my videos if it is by default done on my channel?

Also, in the age restriction(advanced) section in video details if I set the option " Yes, restrict my video for viewers over 18" then who will be my audience?

This is so confusing. Also the videos age restricted by youtube isn't that dank. No nsfw visuals just few slangs and that's why I mark them as not for kids. Also, I can't appeal the age-restriction done by youtube.

How to fix this ?

Thanks for any help!!

I have that sometimes for no reason. Just click the link remove action then just type in what the video is about. ie this is just a video of a cat playing. normally straight away it will be lifted

If you think it shouldn't be restricted, go ahead and appeal it. Restrictions can be applied either because of user reports or because an automated system detected the content as mature. It can make mistakes.

As for the audience, if your video is age restricted, whether you've done it yourself or YT did it, it can only be viewed by logged in users who are over 18 based on the birth date that they've set on their account.

The video still shows up in search and recommendations for guest users, but if they click on it, they will be forced to log in to start the video.
It will not show up at all for logged in users who are below 18 or to anyone who has restricted mode on. It also cannot be played outside of youtube by embedding.

Sometimes it happens when simply downloading and reupload videos try to change the music

You should honestly just always click "not for kids".

That's what I always do.

Haven't really been able to tell a difference and it avoids any unnecessary flags.

And youtube support isn't that great lol.

Maybe something in your title, description or tags is triggering it. What content do you upload? hack, or adult?
