Your Thoughts on My SEO Plan

Ok I would very much appreciate it if you could share your thoughts on the likely success of this plan:

Im competing for 2-3 keywords, one is competitive with 6000 searches a day, but all of the pages ranking for it are "one pagers" from big domains. The actual number of backlinks to each page isnt that high and there not all that relevant.

The other two keywords are a lot less competitive with around 300-500 searches a day. I already rank mid thirties for one of them, with no backlinks showing in Yahoo. I have a new domain setup precisely to match one of these keywords. I currently just have one page with an article on, good on page SEO.

For the off page seo I have so far created a link wheel, or mini net directly around the homepage of about 7 web 2.0 sites. Then I have blasted these hard with Scrape box so they should all get a couple of hundred backlinks.

Next I am going to add another article to my money site and do the exact same thing with another link wheel, and continue until I rank for the keywords.

What are your thoughts on this? Do you think the money site will need any other backlinks other than the linkwheel sites? Should I make the link wheels bigger with properties that dont directly link to the money site?

To be honest, it's hard to say anything about it because your information is so "fluffy".

Besides - have you checked the backlinks to that page and their backlinks ? I would dig alot deeper before just "assuming" that they don't do much.

I would add a 2-3 linkwheels to the connection points in the first wheel, blast with XR (or SB as you do), then adding in "the dummy" factor - interlinking randomly.
 
sounds cool but im no seo expert so i couldnt tell you too much :(

i have no idea how to build a link wheel either
 
@OP: In regards to the competitive keyword (6,000 daily searches) you can check Google page 1 and see if there are videos and/or articles listed in article directories.

If yes, you create one too. Then you can do exactly the same promotion for them as you did for your own pages. And continue building backlinks after that frequently. Once you get those article/video ranked high, your own site will move up the ranks eventually, too.
 
It sounds like you got all of that from a guide. If you did you'll probably hit some speed bumps. Good luck with them

I don't know if you were addressing me. If yes, that's what I do with keywords that are too tough to get highly ranked for with a new website. And most of the times it works very well.
 
Thanks for the feedback and advice so far guys. @peter2002, I will check now, ive got some articles at ezine for my site already.

I diddnt really get the plan from a guide per say, its more just a mixture of things ive read from here, I think the link wheel theme is quite common/popular.

Everything ive ranked before has been super low competitive stuff with just a handful of searches a day and ive ranked by simply backlinking directly to the site, so this is my first real attempt at ranking for something harder.

Will keep you all posted on the resutls.
