My second sale was earlier in the year. I listed the site because I was desperate to sell it. I was able to sell eventually, but not after I've had tons of ridiculous offers.

If you want to sell sites at fair prices, I'd recommend Motion Invest (losing its reputation fast, though). You can also meet quality buyers on Facebook Groups (I recommend "Flipping Websites"). But if your site is earning above $2,000 monthly, your best bet is Empire Flippers.

The whole spying thing is my exact experience with Flippa. Complete waste of time. If you manage to find a legit buyer that's a huge win.

I sold a website on Flippa for $2,500. It did have a nice stream of income, but I just started law school, and couldn't manage it anymore.

Would I buy a website on there? It depends. There are threads on blackhatworld.com solely devoted to "how to increase traffic for a flippa sale." Basically you are buying garbage traffic.

However, if you want to to buy a site with real traffic, and earnings potential, get ready to shell out a nice chunk of change.
 
it seems like most websites for sale on flippa now are just ai content blogs with an expired domain.
 
I bought a site once from Flippa. Then saw the seller selling the exact same site with different domain, copied all the content. Lucky I watched his account for signs of stuff like this, so I immediately disputed with Paypal. The person had the nerve to whine about me making a dispute on them. The clicks I was getting weren't even coming off Google either so I suspected something was up, it was a lot less traffic than expected. Happy I got my money back, this was in 2013. I've been wary about buying from sellers since it seems the stats can be pumped up on even analytics screenshots and stuff. I know from my time in GMB courses that they can have automated bots making clicks and traffic. Another thing I notice too is that Google updates can ruin your business overnight.
 
I used to sell websites on Flippa around 10 years ago, back when it was new and effective. Now you have to be lucky to find a potential buyer. Maybe 1 out of a 100 that contact you..

I've tried selling a $30k site last time, most people getting in touch were "hello what best price sir?" you finance?" "can you tell me how much money it make" or another 30 questions that were already written in the listing.

Really a waste of time today, unfortunately. I'm sure you can still sell sites, but most people are just digging to learn more to copy your product.
